Can Glanville Recruit?

Now that the season is winding down for PSU with disappointing results, the off season is looming. The most important role of the coach is recruiting. Without talent, no coach can win. The question is can Glanville and his assistants locate, evaluate and land the right recruits for PSU? This is a big fear for me since Glanville doesn't have much recruiting experience and he didn't hire any coaches known for their recruiting.

Glanville was very active in the State of Texas at Hawaii, we already have 1 commit from a DB in Texas.

If I had to bet, I would say he has a personality and reputation very amenable to recruiting, especially for defensive players of all types and other big-guy type players like offensive linemen. Mouse's reputation, especially on offense, gives talented players tremendous motivation to play for him, especially if their goal is to get noticed for an opportunity to get up to the NFL. And few know (and speak) NFL like Jerry Glanville.

I am looking forward to a "fantabulous" recruiting year. Jim Craft's image is that of a true professional in representing these two extraordinary coaches in the art of recruiting.

Go Vikings!

Few if any of the recriuts out there knew who Glanville was until he came to PSU, with the ESPN exposure that may have changed some. On the other hand the HIgh School coaches and the players' parents probably know him and his accomplishments. I don't know Craft except casually but he seems to be a highly qualilfied recruiter. Chances are we have a heck of a recruiting team and nobody can talk up the Vikings like Jerry Glanville.
