Can we still make the tournament?

After the win against Idaho State we sit at 3 and 5 along with 4 other teams. After Weber and Montana, the remaining teams are within 2 games of each other. North Dakota is in 3rd at 4-4 while Eastern is in last at 2-6.

This team is either a hit or a miss. We beat 4th place Montana State on the road and then get humiliated by last place Eastern Washington. I don't know which team will show up everytime I toon in to watch the games. I was happy to see them beat ISU in Pocatello. ISU's defense is very impressive, but they could not stop Russel or Rogers. Thank God for those two. It's fun watching Russel move on the court. I haven't seen a guy under 6 feet make 6-5,6-6 guys look silly in a while :thumb: Is it possible to see this team in the Big Sky Tournament? That would be incredible and with teams being so close in talent level this year, who knows how far we could go. Semifinals? finals? NCAA's? who knows, anything can happen...specially this year.

Go Jacks!!

It's really hard to make the tournament when you blow a 16 point lead with 7 minutes to go. WTF???? That last 7 minutes and the overtime was the absolutely the most pitiful basketball I've seen. Turnovers, no defending the 3, missing free throws    A pure nightmare. We needed this one to stay in the hunt. It's going to be hard winning any of the last 7 games. The only winnable game I see is Idaho State at home. The rest will be tough. We may fall short of the making the tourney unless a miracle happens. We so needed this one :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Next 7 games

@ Northern Colorado
@ North Dakota
@ Hawaii
Idaho State
Weber
@ Montana State
@ Montana

Can they make it to the conference tourney....yes.

Will they make the conference tourney....that remains to be seen. Continue blowing 18 point leads and it's pretty much a given to not finish in the top 7. The team's been shooting at a pretty good clip but defensive intensity and a killer instinct have been lacking at times. The Hawai'i game in inconsequential at this point. Conference games are what matter. It will be a tough go with 4 road games and only 2 home games.

Win or lose, this year's teams has proven to be pretty exciting to watch at least. The future is bright. Much better than last year.

Props to Stallon Saldivar. First NAU mens hoops player to record a triple double. Having a point guard as the team leading rebounder is all heart.

I see UNC, ISU and MSU as winnable games. The rest ..... NAU's going to really have to step up. Uphill batte for sure. I'll be rooting for em.

Nice steal at UNC today for the men. We needed this one bad.    It's up and down with this team, but much improved over last year. Keep at it baby jacks :thumb:

In other news, the NAU women just frustrate the hell out of me. It's taking all my energy not to destroy my computer as I watch the NAU/UNC women's game. The mistakes they make are so elementary it kills me. Going into overtime, because they missed a free throw to win the game with 4 seconds left...
