Cats vs Rams

BCS team = Bowl Championship Series. fkn(formerly known as) Division 1A
FCS team = Football Chamionship Subdivision. fkn Division 1AA

Colorado State is a BCS team!!!! (see above)

BTW it was great to hear Ty Sparrow on the air. Arkey, can you lose Brad on the way back to Ogden and just have Sparrow from now on for all the games?? I think there are a few people on here who would even donate to the cause.

After seeing that game and knowing some freak play was the diff between winning and losing against CSU, I have no doubt our team could go 9-0 in FCS if they want to.

I admit I wasn't sure if they could get it done, at UM, at EWU, Cal Poly at home I figured we could lose 1 or 2. Not now! Going 9-0 is possible. Our D is legit. Our offense has many weapons.

I don't care about any FCS schools at this point. I love that our team has just played 2 teams are way better than anything they will see the rest of the year and both of those teams escaped with a win by the hair of their chinny chin chin. No reason to be intimidated by anyone or think they can't beat someone now.

Hopefully Ryan Eastman will make it back from the injury he suffered in the 2nd Q.

FBS=Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division 1-A)
FCS=Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division 1-AA)

The BCS is the conglomerate of games at the end of the season. Just wanted to point that out.

From a listeners perspective on the radio it was great to finally hear someone who knows what they are talking about when it comes to football. I busted up every time Ty Sparrow zinged Brad Larsen. HILARIOUS. But seriously just tell Brad his Mic is on and lose the feed, he's horrible.

About the game, it's very apparent that we have an awesome team but I am questioning a few of the scenarios towards the end of the game:

1. The first and most obvious one is why didn't we run the ball to the middle of the field on 2nd down to set up a kick on 3rd down. This enables the team essentially two chances if something happens i.e. bad snap, mishandled snap etc... That is a no-brainer. What were the coaches thinking?

2. Where was Trevyn Smith? On 2nd down at the end of the game he wasn't in. Instead they have a red-shirt freshman in the game and they run an outside zone play to the short side of the field and he goes out of bounds after gaining minimal yardage? You just can't do stupid stuff like that at the end. We should have our best players out their at that point in the game.

3. Can we please replace the whatever commentary it's called of Brad Larsen!!!!!

BCS = Bowl Championship Series. A team residing in the following six conferences could be considered a BCS team; however, the correct term would be either FBS team or FCS team.

ACC
Big East
PAC 10
BIG 10
BIG 12
SEC

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowl_championship_series
(notice Colorado but not Colorado state)

FBS - (Football Bowl Subdivision) - this would describe any team who settles their championship by a bowl game and not a playoff system. Sunbelt, MAC, WAC, Mountain West etc. are not "BCS" conferences.

This is why Utah is referred to as a "BCS buster" because they came from outside a BCS conference and
were given the right to play in a BCS bowl game.

FCS team -( Football Championship Subdivision) - this describes any team who settles their championship with a playoff system and not a bowl game.

Lets get this straight...now why again are we confused about the classifications?

FBS=Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division 1-A)
FCS=Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division 1-AA)
BCS=Bowl Championship Series
BSC-Big Sky Conference

WSU
1962-1972: NCAA College Division - Small College
1973-1977: NCAA Division II
1978-2006: NCAA Division I-AA
2007-Current: NCAA Division I FCS - Formerly I-AA

Im sure i can round up one of those play microphones for B-rad. They even look real, plus it would keep B-rad entertained for hours and none of us would have to hear it. The only risky thing is that if he hits a certain button on this play microphone then a disney song plays. :D

Regarding Eastman, the tapes will show the cheap shot he took from #60 and friend; 2 plays prior #60 was called for holding (he was holding all day when he wasn't outright tackling Eastman) and then he decides to go the cheap shot route.

Eastman will be out a few weeks, ACL is good, but the LCL needs to heal, got tweaked. Amazed at the Defensive Line, young, but man can they play against anyone. once the LB's get a GPS, we'll be allright.

GO WILDCATS!!!
