Wow.

Brutal first half. We need to make some serious adjustments here. The short pass game was working, let's stick with that. We're not hitting the home run yet..........but I guess we still need to go for it every once in a while.

I just hope Jones doesn't bust another! I suppose it's a forgone conclusion that he will, though. What a stud!!.......

Why so conservative with the play calling?

I'd guess because we don't want to show our hand to the Griz. No sense in hiding your hand if you don't win... better start dialing it up.... CWU came to play.

Our QB doesn't make big plays, their's does. He is great under pressure and makes big throws on 3rd down. We are completely reliant on short throws and hoping our receiver can shake and bake.

Plus, can our safeties cover for jack? We might just be too deficient to win many this year... it'll take a LOT of improvement.

Serious question.....Wether we win or lose (an FCS contest), it has no bearing on our strength of schedule when playoff berths are considered....Does a loss factor for the FCS team?

no, only division one WINS are counted (FCS or FBS). the general rule is you need to have 7 divison 1 wins to be considered for an at large bid.

which kind of makes playing down a divison kind of pointless in this case...just aren't enough d1 FCS schools out west to do a home and home with (that aren't in the big sky already). A win or loss doesn't change anything other than making people feel good.

Dude, D2 football out west is laughable and we NEED an FCS school to help us out every year. The GNAC has five teams and isn't even considered a "conference" because you need at least six teams.

someone should convince Eastern Oregon to move to D2 from NAIA

Not sure how EWU stayed with Nevada because they just don't look good at all. They need to try another quarterback, BLM is not getting it done
