Here's to my fellow Hornets...the most weirdly loyal group I've ever been around. Never thought I'd see this program ever achieve anything like this.

Perfect Cinderella story,

#StingersUp

Lol. So true. I've been following since 1996 and the wait has been soooo long. It is surreal. Die hardfans are mocked for the high school gym, the erector set football stadium, the losing seasons, being a commuter school, dismissed by most of Sacramento only makes it even harder. But over the years, there have been great moments, players, and wins that keep bringing you back. Kinda like that rare great golf shot which compels you to come back and double down.

Though I must admit at half time I had that "hello darkness, my old friend" feeling, but glad we came out on the sunny side of life.

I had to turn it off for a bit, I for sure knew the 'ole annual kick in the balls was coming. It truly is a new day that they persevered.

understand sac rat and phantom.

If you are a long time Sacramento State football fan you learn to never give up.\\

And you learn that having not the best stadiums and gyms does not prevent championships.

All days are good to be a Sacramento State alum, student, supporter

And today at our beautiful school with 20,000 people at our football stadium we won the Big Sky Conference championship.

So now everything is possible.

It always has been but just seems more possible now with football as champs and another trophy in the over flowing trophy case.

I thought at 17-3, uh-oh another choke on a chicken bone moment!

Congrats on the BSC Championship, hope to see you in a couple of weeks for a little redemption.

Thanks. MSU is the hottest BSC team entering the playoffs IMO. Getting Ifanse back is huge for your offense. I was hoping we'd get bracketed up with montucky instead, they suck. 8-)

Yeah, Weber gets to get revenge on them if Nova doesn't make them one and done first.

Good to see that your QB is back healthy for the playoffs

We are a great group Phantom

Think we all have our unique story of why we post here and are supportive of each other and fun to agree or challenge each other. That's what it is all about.

That being said.

I always dreamed of a day when the Causeway Classic would be the game that decided the Big Sky championship and was the game the was highest attended game on end of the year rivalry weekend in the Big Sky conference.

Just wanted to post that the Sacramento State Hornets won the Big Sky championship in 2019 on rivalry weekend in the Big Sky and that Sacramento State also had the highest attendance that day. Beat out Montana State and Montana game by ab out 60. Sac State / Davis had 19,882 and Montana State / Montana had 19,827gg.

Causeway Classic , Brawl of the Wild, Dam Cup , etc. are important rivalries in the Big Sky and all matter.

And supportive of all Big Sky schools filling their stadiums as we all benefit as a conference.
