Could get 4 free tickets and still an empty arena…no one cares any more. Had a lead and choked down the stretch in another close game. Plays that really stood out were Wildcats had a 2-1 breakaway in last two minutes and swung back and let the defense get set and missed the shot. Last possession…no play called, Wildcat player dribbles off foot…somehow gets a loose ball doesn’t call timeout and throws the ball away. Poorly coached team with no confidence. Good thing is Duft isn’t panicking because the only games that matter, according to him, are in the Tournament in Boise. Crompton can’t be around to select the next Coach.
 
Under 3 to play, and Coach slows the offense with a 3 point lead? He needs a bucket and instead tried to shorten the game. Team took a bad shot and Montana responded with a bucket. What more can be said...

Personally, if I was Tim, I would ask Duft to resign. Pay out the remainder of his contract and give Dan a shot as the interim HC to finish the season. At one point in the history of the program and department things like this actually happened and the team and program were better off because of it. McCarthy??

I totally agree with you about how in the past, a coach would be dismissed and the program would move on, but today’s show up and collect a paycheck philosophy has led to this dismal environment. I honestly think a house cleaning is in order…AD, promotions, football coach, basketball coach, etc.

Thought I was the only one who could remember that, yes. More recently I referred to about the same thing happening, only at the end of the season, when the average attendance was around 4k, it finally donned on them it's time for a change. Bye-Bye Cravens ??

Cravens was co-anchor on ESPN coverage last night, I chuckled at his chiding Wildcat players for standing around at times on offense & giving up offensive rebounds... though right and a big reason contributing to the loss.

Any take on Dan Russell? Seems to have an impressive background & is noted on recruiting commits postings. If the trend continues, Duft is likely to have a break even record at best (more likely losing record with 4-5 more losses?). If he's not bailed out by winning in the BSC tourney, Russell a good get promotion? But then the "inside hiring critics" will rant...

I’ve heard Russell is good but I think it’s worth looking outside. Fans that dont know basketball will say this is a bad take but Pribble at Idaho would be a could hire. What he has done with the talent he has is impressive. I strongly believe with better resources he would be a great hire.
