Found this... Looks like he won't play until next season.
Former Riverside King basketball star Chris Harriel (6-4, 185) has transferred from Portland State to UC Riverside, said Highlanders coach Jim Woolridge by e-mail.
Harriel, who will be a junior, averaged 12.6 points and 5.1 points per game as a starter last season at Portland State, topping 20 points four times. He was an All-CIF-Southern Section player at King, leading the Wolves to a 30-3 record his senior year.
It is unclear when Harriel will be eligible to play for the Highlanders. Woolridge said the 2012 season, but I am not sure if he meant 2011-2012 or 2012-2013. I am awaiting another response from the Highlander coach.
UPDATE: Harriel will be eligible to play for UC-R in time for the 2012-2013 season, Woolridge confirmed.
