I don't believe that either one should drop out. Dragging it out until the convention would generate record convention TV ratings, which should give the Donkeys a financial boost going into the fall campaign. Too bad folk don't see that.
The closest argument to drop, however, would go to Obama going away. Though he has what he PERCEIVES to be an insurmountable lead, he's currently on the ropes, both from association with Rev. Wright and from his own mouth. The last Donkey vs. McCain polls show that Clinton has a 9-pt. lead over McCain and that Obama's slim "lead" over McCain is within the margin of error, so he's a in a statistical dead heat. That, plus Clinton's PA win, should give her a boost through IN/PR and the rest of the primary season, placing her within superdelegate striking distance at the convention. I believe that Clinton will win both at the convention and in November. I hope, however, that McCain can stage a comeback such as he did in the primaries. I can't bear to see ANOTHER eight years of Clinton to be followed by yet ANOTHER eight years some point down the line.
