The articles in the paper have been good to get the community talking about Weber, Coach Mac, and the football program. I am hoping that we get about 10,000 at the game tomorrow. If we can get that many, it will be an added indicator that the community is behind Coach Mac. :mrgreen:

Question:

If WSU doesn't bring back Mac. Should we just cancell the fooball program all together? Look at Mac's next couple seasons. Looking pretty good!

Would seem like a waste to even think of not bringing him back with the new football momentum.

With this win over NAU, MAC has made history with the Wildcats and will continue to do so because he is filling the pipeline for the future. Keep the program rolling. We are finally on our way to getting the respect we deserve. Why would you want to keep Mac, his staff, and the recruits that will commit to Mac's system in suspense?? GET 'ER DONE! DO THE CONTRACT! 4 MORE YEARS!!

That is a good point, cuz if he aint retiring sign him now! Give him a raise! Give him more $$ for recruting which he has wanted since day 1 to compete with the Montanas. I remember when he first go here he said we had $30,000 and the Montanans had well over $100,000.
 
It was announced at the Coaches Lunch today that WSU and Coach Mac are in contract negotiations currently, and that both sides say a deal will be done to keep Coach Mac at WSU for the near future. This is GREAT News!!

"Mac will be back.
Weber State head football coach Ron McBride signed a four-year contract extension this morning, which is good news for the coach and his assistants.
McBride and his staff earned the extension after the Wildcats have gotten off to their best start in history. WSU is 6-0 in the Big Sky Conference for the first time ever, and is 8-2 overall. The Wildcats are ranked No. 9 in the nation and can clinch at least a share of the league crown plus the automatic berth in the FCS playoffs with a win this Saturday at Idaho State."
 
Just a side note, Coach Mac's agent is his daughter. She has several very HIGH profile clients, and then of course her old man.

In the coaches show Mac said his daughter reprensents a fighter called the spider! I wonder if his real name is Peter Parker?
 
I told you all on the 17th that you didn't have to worry about it. I am VERY excited that the deal is done, and I am hoping that all of the assistants will be able to stick around. With this coaching staff and the players that are here and those that are reportedly coming, I am looking forward to contending for the Big Sky Championship for at least the next four years!!!
 
NICE... I knew he would get a 3 or 4 year contract.
6-6 250lb offensive lineman from Highland High in Idaho just committed to Weber State.
