Coach Poll

I voted yes, I believe the difference between a Glanville team and a walsh team this year is UC Davis would have been won by Walsh. It becomes unrealistic to compare because of the level of injury this year. You don't know if a Walsh team woudl have been different or not.

Glanville and Mouse could be better in the long run. They proved they can coach last saturday.

I agree. Walsh would have won the UC Davis game. I really believe that.

On the flip side, Walsh teams had a habit of momentum changes kicking them in the teeth. I apologize if this offends, but something I've noticed over the years. Going into the fourth quarter of big BSC games on the road with Walsh in a close or tied situation wasn't exactly the best feeling. Last night, going into the second half down seven points, there was a strange confidence that something good was going to happen.

Yeah it seemed like walsh's teams would be in great position during the 3rd quarter and everything flopped in the fourth... I was so excited listening to the Boise state game a couple years ago on the radio and we lost. Still a very impressive game by the viks but we almost had them on the blue turf...

Granted that was against a Div 1-A team...

I never considered Tim Walsh as ruthless a coach as the others. Whenever he had a lead it never seemed like he played to win, but to keep from losing.

The EWU game was the type of situation that Walsh would have lost in... on the road conference game.

Agree with the comments on this board. Walsh gave his blood, sweat and tears for PSU. However, I think he made poor adjustments during a game and his teams often lost 4th quarter leads. As already stated, he always seemed to be playing not to lose as opposed to playing to win. I think he could have been a lot more successful if he adjusted.

Saw that Army beat Temple 37 to something. Good to see them win a game they're supposed to win.
