Coaches Show

anybody watch the show last night?

I did. Coach just said that we had our chances against MSU and didnt convert. Definitely have the talent, need to believe in themselves (im reading between the lines there). They aren't taking UNC lightly.

Coach Katz was also on, saying we have a bit more experience returning this year. Said Dickson has put on more muscle in the offseason compared to last. Practice begins Oct 14. Have a scrimmage against SJSU before exhibition game against Simpson. Raring to get going.

President Gonzo’s Sac State facility priorities: 1. Science Building. 2: Stadium. 3: Events Center.

Don't disagree with any of those! The science building was antiquated 30 years ago let alone now! I know they have tried to update the labs with as much tech as possible, but its still a relic. Placer Hall (Geology) is the prototype of how labs and tech should be for the other science disciplines.

I do think the Events Center should be #2 slightly. Only because then you could also move some of the productions out of Shasta Hall (Univ. Theatre) and the Music Recital Hall (worst acoustics ever, who builds a square performing hall!). Of course that's not even taking to account its use as an arena and the benefits we all know come with that.

I agree. An events center has multiple uses that would benefit not only athletics but other academic and entertainment ventures as well. Plus it would be available for use 365 days a year whereas as stadium just doesn’t have that type of versatility.
