Coaching Staff

Jerry from Day 1 was going to be the HC and also the DC. Dishman was considered for the secondary position.

I may be wrong but I heard Cris Dishman accepted and was going to be the secondary coach. Does anyone have any inside info about this?

Bobby April, a graduate assistant at Tulane last year, was hired today as the inside linebacker and special teams coach. He is a graduate of Louisiana-Lafayette

This April hire is the first one I'm not sure about. I hope he proves me wrong, but he doesn't appear ready for a job like this. But on the other hand, I suppose he has to start somewhere.

Last coach hired today. Alundis Brice will be the new secondary coach. He was on the university of Idaho staff last year and is a graduate of Ole Miss. Go Viks!

I'd like to see if Brice can use some of his connections and get us a game against Idaho.

Is it me or does Idaho have no business being in the bowl subdivision? What would their record be if they played in the Big Sky next year?

I must of been asleep when they changed D1AA to...what is it now? D1FCS? This was done why exactly?

...because 1-AA folks believe that changing the name will somehow boost their revenues, stature, etc.

Personal opinion: the name change is the height of irrelevance.

Ostensibly, this change will rectify the problem of people thinking that if a school is I-AA in football that they are I-AA in basketball and everything else, when in reality those schools are simply Division I in all other sports and on equal footing in other sports with schools that have I-A football teams.

I was going to say this as well. However, it got me thinking.
Now we have "the problem of people thinking that if a school is I-AA CS in football that they are I-AA CS in basketball and everything else."
