CollegeInsider.com Mid Major Top 25

I was just thinking about it and wondering why Utah State wasn't near the top of the list, but I guess the Mountain West isn't a mid-major perhaps? Thought they would be considered so.

Utah State is in the WAC and not the Mountain West. WAC and Mountain West teams are not included in the mid-major poll.

USU was all over the poll when they were in the Big West which they left for the WAC 4 years ago.

The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences:
America East,
Atlantic Sun,
Big Sky,
Big South,
Big West,
Colonial,
Horizon,
Independents,
Ivy,
Metro Atlantic,
Mid-American,
Mid-Eastern,
Missouri Valley,
Northeast,
Ohio Valley,
Patriot,
Southern,
Southland,
Southwestern,
Summit League,
Sun Belt,
West Coast

Haha yeah my bad, wasn't thinking when I said that, clearly. I meant WAC and not the MWC. Still seems like they would be in the mid major because they really don't get much respect outside of the conference.

The top 15 is where you start to see really good mid-major teams. Not moving up for beating 1 of the worst teams in the nation (sac) and another (nau) thats in the bottom 100 is understandable not to move up.
