I think they classify the A-10 as a "major" conference now. Im not sure though, that conference does usually have some big names in it.

NOTE: The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences:
America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast.



Other conferences such as Conf USA, A10, Mountain West, WAC aren't technically considered mid majors so they are not in the polls.

Although ESPN and others use the term midmajor to mean any conf outside of the 6 big ones that our now commonly called the BCS conferneces. I hate the term BCS. I also hate the BCS and how FBS does its post season. But being a fan of an FCS school I guess I don't really care.
