I took the kids to see this game and sat on front row behind the basket. The coaching staff was all over their players to keep up the intensity. I particularly liked how one of the assistants went on a rant to use two hands on the rebounds and got over them for getting beaten on the boards at times.

I liked the team’s effort. Not bad for their first exhibition as a team. I expect much needed energy and enthusiasm this season!

The play was sloppy at times and crisp at others. About what you would expect from a first exhibition game. Starting lineup that we may not see again. Colorado Christian could beat some lower level BSC teams. They definitely have some D1 talent, just not enough to get them over the top with us. Still, our guys had to work hard to get the upper hand on them. I didn't see anyone that we might go after if they were to hit the portal, but they do have a few that could go D1.

Now, Westminster will be smaller, but I feel that is less important than many other factors.

Gavin Lowe was not suited up and must have had some sort of injury. Max Russell also appeared to be injured. The trainer was testing his ability to move laterally and he was the only one, suited up, who did not get into the game until the very end. Hopefully, those two will be available next week.
