This is the team that gave us Blaize Threat. Size wise, they compare favorably to us, once again. They go 7'0'', 6'10'', 6'10'', 6'8'',6'8'',6'7'',6'7''. Along the guard line they go 6'0'' to 6'5''. I fully expect another hard fought game out of them. That D11 league is going to be very strong this year

We broke even on the rebounding with Westminster. I would like to see us do a little better in this game. Our shooting seemed to be much better against Westminster. I would like to see that continue. Our passing seemed to be a bit better this last game. we had 19 assists and 11 turn overs. I would like to see us keep that TO number down a bit, to under 10.

It only gets tougher after this game.

Alvin Jackson III going down for the year with injury is going to hurt. I thought he was very impressive with defense and speed to the basket.

It's good that we are fairly deep at the wing positions. It could mean that our RM, Hunter Hansen, will get a little more time. It could also mean that there could be a shift in the guard rotations. Although, there don't seem to be any solid rotations established yet.

I hope Al's knee heals well and he can come back stronger next year. He certainly was looking good before the injury.

Looking at the stat sheet, there were only two areas I thought we were lacking. Our assists were down and our rebounding was mediocre at best. I don't care if they have seven footers, we have to do a better job on the boards. It just gets tougher from here on out. We had a big drop in assists. that tells me that we were trying to go 1v5 way too often.

We didn't turn the ball over, we shot reasonably well, and we defended reasonably well. That won the game for us.

Three stupid technical fouls showed just how young and inexperienced we are. That will get better with time, I hope.

A positive is the development of Ekwe and Thompson. Burgess and Abittan are showing glimpses of what they will become. Powell and Lowe have hit the ground running.

This was not a bad showing, but not great by any means. Now we jump from the pan into the fire.
