Colorado Recruits

I'm getting tired of seeing Colorado recruits going to out of state schools. I'm excited we got Sylla, but I went to the Show at the Pepsi center and saw Chase Foster, Zach Braxton and Ghassan Nehme. They are all Colorado kids going to school out of state next year!

What am I missing? Braxton was all state first team 5A. Foster and Nehme were all state first team 4A! Braxton and Foster live in Highlands Ranch! Why would we ever lose local kids to Weber State and San Francisco? Did we even recruit these kids?

It drives me crazy that I have to watch a top Colorado hoopster beat our brains out every year at Weber State! We need a big and this kid is 6'10" 245 and averaged 18pt, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks a game in 5A! He should be a bear! I go on this forum for high school basketball and all they talk about is Collier, Harrell and Braxton! Why is he going to Weber State?

Coach Hill, is our recruiting budget big enough to recruit in Highlands Ranch?

Does anyone know if the transfer from Rice, Drew Bender accepted the UNC offer?

According to his twitter, he is playing for UNC. I believe he is only a Soph, and he will have to sit out one year per transfer rules.

I thought he transferred due to a coaching change. Does he still have to sit out a year?

Not sure. I automatically thought he would have to sit out for a year.

I've never heard of a coaching change exempting you from sitting out. I'd think they would not want a rule like that as it would encourage a mass exodus any time a school changed coaches and it happens a lot.

I'm sure these are great kids and they'll contribute to our program, but I still don't understand why we are losing out on Colorado kids. I look at their recruiting profiles on Rivals or ESPN and UNC isn't even recruiting them. I see that Tad's doing a better job in Boulder bringing in local talent, why are we not getting local all stars to stay in Colorado? Montana State and Weber State are BSC schools and they are out recruiting UNC! In Colorado! I see if we were doing well with out of state kids, but we're losing out home base and then they beat us when we play against them. It doesn't make sense!

Are we not recruiting Gus Nehme who decommited from Montana State! One of the best players in the state! Why are we not making a run at him?

@BrockLaue: 2015 ThunderRidge/Colorado Chaos 6'10 PF Zach Pirog was just offered by Northern Colorado @ColoradoChaos @ZachPirog #copreps

Thanks...... Local kid that can play! Glad to see that we are recruiting at home! Now we need to give him the full court press!

Let's go Bears!

Ok let us in on the secret. Who is Braxton ? :?

Kind of an old bump.

But I wanted to add on the Colorado recruit thing. Went to great 8 of the 5A state tourney, and there's plenty of talent in the state Colorado for UNC to be recruiting. There was easily a handful of guys that could play for UNC. Some could actually start. When's Blow Job Hill going to get a clue?

Edit:

That guy from Denver East would have been a nice get, but UNC let him to go to Texas Southern?? :? :?

:dunce: :dunce:
