Coming to watch PSU/NORTHERN ARIZONA?

I know this may be a little early, but this Friday I will be buying the tickets and making hotel reservations for my wife and I for an extended weekend. The plan is to fly into Portland Thursday evening, pick up a rental car, then go to the hotel (havn't yet decided which one). I am looking forward to putting a face to some of the names I have seen here. The number top two items on my agenda will be to get 2 tickets to the game for my wife (her first American football game) and myself. The next is to get a a Portland State, shirt, coat or anything PSUish to wear for the game (otherwise I will be wearing a shirt that looks like the Texas flag) /users/31/07/37/smiles/cowboy.gif

It would also make my day (if at all possible) if I were to meet and get a picture of JG and let him know that Texas still remembers him and many who wish him well and great success. I will also plead my case that he find a way to schedule either Texas State, A&M Kingsville, San Angelo State or if he wants a FBS team Baylor.

How approachable is Jerry? I don't want to interfere with any game prep, but I would love to meet him, get a picture and his autograph on a piece of Viking paraphanilia I can put on my desk here at Kerrville VA Hospital....some of the Vets here who remember Jerry will love it!!!!!

JG is very approachable but game day I would imagine it would be tough to meet him. Maybe there will be a post game party?

My wife and I am getting into Portland around 11:30 pm Thursday night and we are planning on leaving around noon on Tuesday. Will those fit in the schedule?

Jerry seems to be all over the place speaking. I'm not sure if this will continue as the season gets going, but I'll make sure to see if there are any events the week of the NAU game and post them. I met JG a few weeks back. Nice guy...
