On a side note, keeping up with the trend, so former bounce back Hornets are doing big things
1. Tyree Thompson LB - Just signed with UCLA after transferring to JUCO from Sac.
2. Joey Banks DB- signed with Buffalo (MAC) after transferring to JUCO from Sac.
Remember when Cole Hikutini transferred out of the program and ended being the starting TE for a top 10 Louisville team?
I bring this up because I think this is very telling. The talent gap between the players that we (and top FCS conferences) get (starters at least) is not too far off from P5 schools, not just G5 schools. It's the development part that is the struggle, I mean, there's a reason why HC at P5 schools are getting paid $2mil+ a season where Sears will probably be paid $275K annually with his new contract. I know I'm pointing out the obvious but I'm hoping that at least one of these players in the 2018 recruiting class realized there true potential at Sacramento State (like Vernon Adams at EWU and Dakota Prukop at Montana St.) before eventually transferring; therefore, giving us 2 good years of playoff potentials.
