I think White will play well this year.

Question for those that played college ball:

Does the lack of having a starter named add pressure that normally wouldn't be there for QBs? I would think it's a yes. You seem to get the politically correct answer from players when they are asked about a QB battle for the starting position: "They push each other to make themselves better."

I think you get a situation where in the back of the minds of the two QBs they are thinking that if they don't throw this pass perfect, they will be delegated to the backup, and they try to make too perfect of a play/pass and end up with an overthrow/underthrow or a bad decision.

With a starter set the QB can get relax and get in a groove.

Am I way off base with this thinking?

I think you're right but the QBs in all football seem to think they're special. All other positions are platooned.

Having said that, White now has the team. This is his senior year and why he transferred here. He'll get the snaps in practise. This is his big chance.

I think that there is a certain mentality that some have that help them step up. I think some definitely don't have it though. Regardless of the type white is it can only help his confidence being the sole QB.

This would be a perfect time for some big time RB from a big school to transfer. Anyone being left out at UO or OSU?

How about SC? They've got what 10 or so All-Americans in their RB stable /users/31/07/37/smiles/eusa_th2.gif

I'll take an SC hand me down.

We have until classes start to pick kids up that can play immediately, right?

I thought about the USC situation in a joking manner, but with JG's star power, we might actually be able to attract some top quality transfers. If not this season, then maybe next.

Hope both Howland and McKlintock are able to get healthy for next year, it will be a long and agonizing wait for them.

Now is B-Whites chance to shine, I do not think he will disappoint starting with this saturday at PGE versus Davis.

Hate to here that guy's...

I hope the NCAA grants them extra years due to medical reasons.
