Congrats, in the big sky there is nothing bigger in any sport than winning the basketball conf tourney and goin to the big dance. Be proud to be a unc fan, alum, student.

U did in 5 yrs what took ewu 17 yrs, psu 13 yrs, sac still waiting after 14 yrs. Took UM I think 13 yrs...you get the point. Enjoy it, you never know when the next will be. Go if u can, it could be in Arizona. Since 2002 Weber has been to 2 dances. I went to both, it was some of the most fun I've had in all my yrs goin to WSU games which includes 32 away games.

The game with St.Mary's was scheduled during the middle of the season to help ensure that Damion Lillard gets his redshirt and his junior year back. St. Mary's was ok with it since they knew they were going dancing and instead of the long layoff, they wanted to play to stay hot, so its gonna work out for both teams.
 
I'm gonna stand in line as well for congratulating you UNC Bears fans! It's a damn exciting feeling as a fan when your team goes to the dance; drink it all in! Do your university and the rest of the Big Sky Conference proud. That first game is always a doozy for Big Sky teams; hard to get past being a lower seed and having to knock off one of the best teams in the country -- but it's not impossible!

UNC has arrived as a valid member of the Big Sky conference family. Now get that football team headed in the right direction!
 
Nice job Bears!! Great game last night. Go out and represent the Sky well. I concur with Weberwildcat, even though he is a complete wank, that going to the Dance is one of the best experiences you can have as a fan; especially if you are a student. Hell, Weberwildcat and I rode the bus, 14hrs up to Spokane, for the WSU vs. Wisconsin matchup in 03. He literally talked for 14 straight hours.
 
Hey its nice to hear some kudos from fellow Big Sky fans verses reading some real nasty posts over on E-Griz! Geez I hope we never get to that stage! And the truth of the matter is we all respect what Montana has done on the playing fields and we all want to have the same winning programs and yes its a hoot beating them but thats a compliment in itself as we want to be right there with them. In their own words, it just makes the entire conference stronger!
 
egriz fans are the worst. They're unbelievable. One of their posters said he spoke with people ate UNC and that we're embarrassed and coach Hill had a guilty look on his face and couldn't even look at Tinkle and shake his hand he felt so bad.

That's unreal.

Yea I read that too and I just couldn't take it any more and had to rip their ass over it. I am sure I will get toasted for it but somebody has to tell them. Am I wrong??

I don't care what anyone thinks, I am just happy we made it. Even if we did catch the breaks, we have been on the 'getting shafted' end of this so many times I will gladly take it. Ignore them and enjoy the ride.
