Unfortunately last i heard there is only a few over 1200 tickets sold for tomorrow. And we wont have another home game unless it is the championship. Lets cross our fingers

Well...maybe athletics should market the event. Novel idea.

I was an intern, you think they value my opinion? Hell no. I was bitch boy. If you can get Mr Ron to actually market besides on page 5 in the standard and one A frame then more power to ya. Until he is gone you will see no marketing. Talk to the ones in charge cuz I agree with you 100%.

How about doing the Montana thing and letting students in for free if they show an ID? The line waiting in the cold for the Finals in Missoula went up the block and around and the students were a force at the game.

I realize that publicity and getting word out takes advance planning, and this season has been disappointing, given Weber's successful W-L record, with the numbers of students that have shown....but FREE is a motivator.

A local business fronted the money for 1,000 student tickets at Montana. The tournament needs to get their money, so someone needs to front the cost. Oldrunner bought 20 tickets for students to use for tonight.

I wish we could play our red shirts in this game. I am dying to see what Kendyl Hill & Bolomboy can do on the floor at the same time. I was watching some of the highlights from the 98-99 season. It amazes how athletic Gill & Arcenaux were and how well their games complemented each other. Hopefully we can get the same thing from these athletic kids.

I'm thinking we will get around 3,159.

It's gonna be a great game, Cal Poly is a good team and will be very hard to beat.

Cant wait, 4 hours till tip off.

Ballplayerz.....what would be the reason for us not hosting another game? WSU's decision due to costs? Or CBI decision? Our attendance stats would certainly indicate that we would draw better than just about any other team in the field, so hitting the road so early feels odd.

My bet is that BP was just talking out of his A$$ on this one. :twocents:

It cost 35 k to host a game in this tournament according to a source inside the athletic dept and we are way over budget. So yes to answer your question because of costs. If we were to make it to the championship and have the opportunity to host they would, but other than that we will be on the road.

As your for comment aj, I would like to know why you would think I am talking out my a$$? Do you have numbers to bring to light for everyone? Do you sit next to a manager on the basketball team in two classes along with talk to former associates that still work in the athletic department? I may not have a lifeline into Jerry's office but I try and post accurate and correct information as it comes to me. So im curious, whats up your a$$?

I'm saying at least 3500 in attendance. What a beat down. Here's to hoping someone in the athletic department has the cahones to ante up and host the rest of the games.

that was a straight up beat down. i was expecting more from the big west 3rd place but i am sure our team was not happy losing to the griz so cp paid for it.

will be interesting to see what happens next. i would imagine wsu could anticipate a much larger crowd to host irvine/hawaii/af on saturday! no raod games!!!!!!

we win as long as we at home.

bp said its $35,000 to host. if all 3,500 fans paid $10 meaning no children, no students, no seniors that would equate to 35,000. so we probably needed 4,000 if that number matters to get us to another home game.

I'm sure that we would want to host if there is any way we could work it out. I found out, from the ticket office that I was the only one to buy seats for students. I can't believe that. Come on, Wildcat Nation, step up to the plate. Where were the local business groups. Come on Ogden, get with it here. We need fan support, but we need monetary support as well. If we host again, I'll buy 40 students seats, and I'll keep doubling it as long as we are hosting. Somebody should join with me. All of the students who got free ticks were really happy to do so.

Missoula did something like this for their students. There is no reason Ogden shouldn't do it. We need to build a fire under our community.

These kids are great and this program is great.

Didnt expect this one, but I wont say I was un-happy with the outcome.

Good win for the Cats, One win away from the record of wins in a season, and we can do it even if we have to go on the road. BRING ANYBODY ON.

GO WEBER

Despite the cost of hosting another game...what would be the value to the program if they were able to win this tournament? Surely the recruiting value would be worth putting up the money for as many home games as we could get to give the team its best shot. I'm feeling a little frustrated that the school would pass up hosting games offered to them to save some $$$.

Attendance: 2,309

exact same as last year. sadly still one of the highest attended CIT games.

Hmmmmm, It would appear that my attendance Crystal ball only works during the regular season.
