This is total BS, athletics is limiting student seating for the UNC-CSU game to 850.

The students paid to renovate that flippen place, and they should let as many of them in as show up.

Well they have to offer a limited number of "free" student seats which is the case at every college arena in the nation. Are you suggesting that students be let in free to capacity without selling any tickets to the general public? Once the student section is full (if that happens it will be a first) than a student is not forbidden from purchasing a ticket to the other sections if they'd like.

Blofeld, not to be argumentative, but you might be surprised at the number of universities that don't give students free tickets to events. They may get "discounted" tickets, but get it in the pocketbook twice over--paying fees, then paying to go to games.

This is one of the reasons I just scratch my head as to why there isn't more student support at UNC--the tickets are free for crying out loud, you've already paid for your seat!

Pretty much, the students have ponied up $16 million to renovate the place, they should never have to pay for a ticket.

There is a letigimate risk that people will get turned away, the last time CSU came to town, that game drew 4300. Since the renovation the capacity has been reduced from 4500 to 3000. So I do think that students might get turned away, the Denver game in '04 and the CSU game and '05 deffinitaly drew more than 850 students.

A capacity crowd is a good thing... Once that becomes the norm then it's a problem, so until we get about 20 more sell outs in a row I'm not losing any sleep over it.
