CSN Coverage

Fellow Hornets Fans,

Answer me this... WHY ARE UCD "AGGIES" ON CSN AND THE HORNETS ARE NOT?

CSN is Comcast Sport Network, which broadcast local games, right? I kind of guessing this because I plug my "uncable boxed" cable line into my TV and watch the Giants on CSNBA.

Anyways, there are no other professional or college games on during this Saturday's afternoon game against Southern Oregon. The giants don't even start until 7 PM, which I will be watching happily after Southern Oregon's defeat on Saturday, and the bay area NFL teams don't play until Sunday?

So, the Hornets' game, starting at 2 PM, should be filling the afternoon, right? I mean it's logical, right?

Who's got Comcast Cable and what might the answer be? Broadcasting the Hornets would definitely peak interest and they could make more money with advertising.

Hornets Rule!

Although I agree with you (CSN isn't even broadcasting the Causeway Classic)... Kids, this brings me to my next point...

Don't. Smoke. Crack.

Did you do some drunk posting?

I believe they are broadcasting Causeway this year. I saw it somewhere, but I can't remember where. I'll post the link when I find it.

Oh, come on Kadeezy, he's just excited. There's nothing wrong with being concerned over the lack of media coverage. I know, you were just kidding. :P

I sent an email to Comcast asking about coverage (or lack thereof) of Sac State football...if anyone else is interested, here's a link to their contact page:

Cheers,

I'm bad enough when it comes to derogatory nicknames for Davis, but this takes the cake.

We would do well to remember a dictum from the great prophet of Superior California Football: "Respect thy opponent."

There are many derogatory names that will fly, but this one won't. There are too many good people over there to support this one.

I would have, but it seems that I have lost those "privileges." I'll have to talk to Chris about that.

I've done it before, and I'll do it again to keep it clean.

As far as I'm concerned, "Manure Pile" is clean. A reference to those old T-Shirts proclaiming the fake website "www.davisux.com" is also clean. But that other word is just plain WRONG.

Causeway is on Comcast this year, I can't find the link. I wish that the Capital City Classic wasn't on TV this weekend and your game against Southern Oregon was.

You and me both 6thman. Actually, what I prefer is for all of our road games to be on TV if I had a preference.

All you need is a VGA cable and a PC and you can have the rest of the SAC games on TV. :D

And high speed internet access. Wouldn't be too hot on a dial-up connection. :ugeek:

dial-up [shudders] :geek:

Capital City Classic was a waste of Comcast space, and it took away the first quarter of the UC Davis vs. Portland State game...the most exciting quarter of the game, Sac State vs. Southern Oregon should've been broadcast at 2 p.m. Comcast must have some funky numbers on who wants to watch what, because the people I know want to watch the whole Sac State and/or Davis games, not two obscure teams coming into town for some game nobody here really cares about.

Bravo Finn! I whole heartedly agree. That and the sham numbers the promoters said was in attendance (15K). That must have been tickets sold.

CSN should have a weekly show dedicated to both schools programs covering all sports and at least a football/men's hoops show once a week as well...like a coaches show. But, CSN was set-up as a Kings thing so I take it for what it is....

Tickets sold? I never even heard the thing advertised, and I watch Sac area stations quite a bit down here in liveable, lovable Lodi.

We could have watched it at our tailgate!

I know Causeway is a ways off, but you are all invited to our tailgate. Satellite TV, shade, BBQ and fun. Check out our site for more details, it would be great to see you all out there.
