CSU-P Game Day

Saturday morning and no one is talking! Lets pick it up !! Any predictions?? I say the defense holds the T-Wolves to 0 points ! :o

I am a bit worried considered how slow we started last week. I'll go with a modest 24-10 win for UNC.

Wow, I really hoe CSU-P is THAT good. Well represented by their fans and their players.

Great game UNC, I think we are much better than we've ever been. We lost a lot but have some very talented kids replacing the kids that graduated.

Good game UNC, best of luck the rest if the year.

They were good, but that still isn't an excuse for losing to a lower level team. Being where UNC is at, a fully funded FCS program and having all the scholarships they do, and you still losing to lower level teams?? Something isn't right. It's embarrassing and pathetic.

Good game. We suck though...again.

Agreed, as CSU-P is still below the RMAC limit of 28 scholarships. To be fair though, we have never had a passing game like was shown at times today, never run any of that type of offense, and never run a 4-3 on defense. In addition, #99 is 6'5 363 lb Mike Pennel who transferred in for his senior season at CSU-P and he really helped clog up the middle along with Tony Campton who might be the strongest player on the team. This was tough game for UNC due to having no real tape on what CSU-P was going to run on offense or defense. you guys looked like a solid team with great athletes and I hope you have success this season.

One thing I was pretty disappointed with was the action of several UNC players on the sidelines when up 16-0, turning around to CSU-P fans and taunting them repeatedly, mainly #56. For one, it was way too early in the game to do this, secondly I wasn't that impressed with him individually today, thirdly you should focus on the game as a player not taunt opposing fans in the 1st quarter.

Overall though it was a great experience and great game where it was unfortunate that either team had to lose. I hope you guys go surprise Wyoming and then do some damage in conference play. It's been fun!

Honestly though you guys had some players that didnt show class either. That d-lineman who did the throat slash after sacking Lobato, etc.

Sure, I just see a difference between that on the field to another player as opposed to not shaking hands after a game, and taunting the opposing fans numerous times. Oh well, it is what it is.

It's really disappointing to hear that Bumpas was behaving like that. He has had a really tough off-season with the loss of his son but his behavior shows that he hasn't really learned from his mistakes at K-State and at UNC.

Did anyone see the last play when Stimphel apparently trapped the ball on the ground? It looked like a clean catch from where I was sitting. Not that it matters now.

Yeah the ref look like they didn't know what to call, but its the perfect ending to a shitty performance.

Boy did I have my head up my ass. I really thought we were going to be a really good team this year. And I also thought the Defense was going to be our strong suit. What a mess. Give credit to CSU-P, they earned it ! At this time I am not sure if I can recover and come back and watch another game!
