CSU-P

I am glad we have another lower division side before the Wyoming game. What they did against Nebraska really scared me. I am also glad EWU and NDSU are not on our schedule.

Will just copy my response from the RMAC board regarding thoughts after watching the UNC game yesterday.

I must say that the Pack will have to play flawlessly to pull off the win. I expect CSU-P to slow the tempo down and try to run the clock to limit the possessions UNC has. Our secondary will have to really watch the long ball over the top but not sure we have the speed to cover all of the UNC weapons. As long as we can establish our running game and slow the tempo I think we can keep it close. Look for our backs to get a heavy dose of the ball. Hopefully we can grind it out on the ground and pick up some first downs to sustain drives. If we can do that and keep it close you never know what can happen.

See ya guys in a few days, ready for our season to start!

I would say we have to play much better than we did yesterday. I'm hoping we get the 6 guys back that were suspended. They're are best players, on both sides. If not, I don't know if our backups are ready to face a solid CSU-P team. :(

Was wondering why so many of your starters sat out, that was a good game to have them out and I am sure you'll have them back for a slightly tougher game. I would prefer they be suspended just 1 more game, but I don't see that happening. :D

Still not 100% they'll be back playing next Saturday.

There's really nothing left to be said. Unless you have something to say I suppose.

Such moving words. I like how the two trolls started the game threads.

5 Wins = Big Time = Trolls

The suspended players better be back. How many fn autographs could they have signed?

No kidding. If we don't have these guys back it could be a long day for the Bears. Wonder what happened.

I'm not sure about that.

I agree beardown. I think Collins has been pretty tough on suspensions and may come down to game time as to weather they are playing or not. Lets hope they did their punishment and are ready to get this team clicking on all cylinders

I have a photo taken at Jackson Field the very last time these two schools played each other in football, Oct 9 of 1976, you see here UNC Quarterback Bill Kenney who was newly moved to QB from tight end, Kenney went on to a very successful career as a Quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs when they rarely dropped a game to John Elway's Denver Broncos. Bears downed the Southern Colorado University Indians that day 38-7.

It wouldn't make too much sense to keep those players suspended for more than a game, since they were suspended by coach Collins. If they had been suspended by the NCAA than we'd have bigger issues. For him to sit them out this coming game also, wouldn't be a smart move, because to me this is a big game. Collins loses this one, and it might be his job.

We've never lost to Southern Colorado, never.

This. Your suspended players are playing on Saturday I have zero doubt.

What an awesome pic. Love that a #89 is the QB (I assume that's his TE number).

Collins needs to take a page from the coach down the road...

BOULDER — Jordan Webb, Colorado’s starting quarterback last year, is back in pads and practicing with the team but coach Mike MacIntyre said Tuesday that Webb will face a one-game suspension when he heals.
On Wednesday he pled guilty plea to third-degree assault...

I thought he already took that page as our guys already did their one game suspension !
