Curious... for the long-time fans

I absolutely LOVE the flying eagle logo. It way more than makes up for the common mascot in my mind. Logos are hard to get right and lets face it, I'm wearing something EWU related most days so I'm glad we have a killer logo. Swoop is pretty fantastic too, although that may be the talent of the guys getting in the suit too. Last few years have been pretty fun.

When I wear Eag gear, get A LOT of looks from passers by. It may be impolite to stare, but don't mind selling the brand in Atlanta. :D

I have been reading this site for years but never posted but wanted to say that I am doing my part in Selling the EWU brand in the Phoenix area. I have the EWU helmet magnet on my Yukon, a 2010 Nation Championship sticker on my truck and wear an EWU hat, shirt or sweatshirt multiple times every week! I have introduced EWU to literately hundreds of people in ASU land. I am working on some of my friends down here to take a trip up to Flagstaff next year when EWU plays to see just how exciting this team is in person.

Side note. There is a Montana Grizzly Bar in Scottsdale, I went to that bar for the last two EWU UM games and can't tell you how great it was to be one of three EWU fans compared to 40+ UM fans in that room watching the game. I have never seen a room clear so fast as it has the last two years. Go EAGS!!

I flew from Dallas to Atlanta after the title game in 2011. 15 minutes after checking in at my hotel near GT I was in a sports bar. A stranger sitting next to me saw the logo on my jacket and exclaimed "Eastern Washington, what a game!" The next day I found the Five Star Brewery (great beer and food). Same jacket, same response. I love our logo's ability to identify our institution and teams.

Eag in AZ...welcome and thanks for posting. I was in AZ (Scottsdale) last year for the SHSU game and met a couple of other Eagle fans down there. Thanks for spreading the word.

God Bless and Go Eagles! :thumb:

Really? Damn, that person could have been me! I always stay right on the other side of the freeway from GT, on Peachtree. What hotel were you at?

Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference, 5th and Spring. I think I was at Hudson Grille on Peachtree. Decent place. Funny thing was, the manager at Five Star Brewery is from my very small home town here in Washington. He saw the logo, asked if I was from WA, and we were both speechless. Although, he was terribly homesick.

The name is Dukes, it is on McDowell and about Granite Reef. The owner is from Butte. We were there once for the Cat Griz game and the dining area side of the bar was all Grizzly fans and the pool tables etc side of the bar was full of Cat fans. Wow what fun. It was almost like being at a game they way cheers and jeers were going back and forth.

Was at the Montana bar in Las Vegas for the first time this year. My girlfriend and I were the only two EWU fans out of probably 60 people. We had a blast! I must say the Montana fans were great. We took a picture with most of them in our Eagle gear. I meant to post it after but forgot. We also went to the local MSU bar for that game. Had a blast at that one as well. Would be great if EWU could get a big enough following to have a bar.
