• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

and UNC should look at him. Heres the deal with Hawk: Even though what he's done at CU might say otherwise, the man can coach. He failed in Boulder because he honestly thought he could turn CU into the same type of program that Boise was. However, something like that could be done at UNC.....When he becomes available, the bears would be nuts to not look at him.

First of all, his road record at CU is almost as bad as UNC's and I question his ability to recruit. Second, do you really think he'd be interested in going from making $1 million per year to $110,000? UNC might have a shot at his son if they can wait until he graduates.
Hawkins got the credit at Boise because he was the head coach but IMO it was Petersen who made Boise the success that it is.

Is he any worse than Scott Downing? You can't compare road records......the level of competition is too different. As far as his money, the only way he gets another job is if a WAC school or FCS school takes a look at him.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hawk at UNC. However, I don't think he would take such a pay cut. I can see him taking a higher paying FBS assistant position.

I'm not sure how many years are left on Hawk's contract but for any years remaining, he'll make that $1 million. He could still make $1 million, UNC pays $100K and CU pays $900K. Hell the way I'd write the contract is: UNC pays him $1 for the length of the CU deal and then $120K thereafter. :)

Hawkins contract expires after this season. CU kept him around for this season because they couldn't afford the buyout last year and with his contract expiring they'll just let him walk.
