Dano Graves, Folsom High QB

Looks like we've offered to him. I don't see Air Force on his radar anymore according to Rivals. I know Stanford was interested in him as a slot WR. Anyone here have knowledge of his plans? He could come here and be in position to RS under Fleming and challenge for the starting QB spot in 2012 as a RS Frosh.

The kid is undersized, but so is DeNarious McGhee and he did alright this year!

Why Sac State for Jake? Do we have an "in"?
Made a visit here and loved everything about it and committed. We are trying to get kids to commit early rather than waiting until the big schools are all done. This is why we are getting some of these types of kids before the bigger schools. Of course, sometimes, they renege on their verbal commitment, but often they don't.

I'm really hoping the Hornets can land Dano Graves. The kid can flat out play and is a winner. He reminds me of Doug Flutie. The numbers he's managed to put up the past 2 seasons are unparalleled. He's thrown for 105 TD's and rushed for 30 TD's despite only playing 2-3 quarters in most games.

Naysayers claim that he's a product of a system with superb talent around him, but I don't buy it. Thousands of High School QB's have played in some version of the spread offense over the years and only a handful of QB's have come close to or matched what Dano has managed to do. The 75 first half points Folsom hung on a 10-1 Vacaville team last Friday is a National record. In that rainy first half, Dano Graves threw for 5 TD's and ran for 3 more. The kid is simply amazing. Despite his size, he's one of the best QB's Northern California has ever seen at the High School level.

While his size will more than likely prevent him from having a pro career, he can become a very good college QB. I'd love to see the Hornets keep this talented kid in the Sacramento area. He's highly intelligent, reads defenses exceptionally well for a HS QB, is deadly accurate, and can make things happen with his feet. Sac State needs a kid like this and I hope they are able to snatch him up before the bigger programs come to their senses.

According to several publications I've read, interested schools are as follows: Sacramento State, San Jose State, Nevada and Air Force.

Coincidentally, the SacBee published an article about Dano today....

I like this strategy. Talent isn’t going to fall in their lap, the program needs to go out and get them.

So did he commit or no? In one post you said he visited but didnt commit and in another post you say he loved everything and committed. :?

As HHD posted Jake committed:

Apparently he made his visit during the win over Weber State and liked what he saw.
