These hilarious posts are from their board:

"we are the next gonzaga" and "UNC=Gonzaga, book it!"

And the thing is, I think they're dead serious. Someone forgot to tell them that they have four starters, including their only three all conference players, graduating. At best, they'll be an average team next year. I hope that Montana destroys them on national TV tonight and brings their fans back down to earth. Go Griz!

I don't see it happening but it is possible but they need an arena. They have no good basketball colleges in their state so it could happen. When was the last year CU or CSU made the NCAA Tournament? The 1990's?

Tab Boyle will get CU playing some good ball soon. He is the reason why UNCO is good. He built the program and left BJ Hill with a core of good players, who already knew how to win. UNC is in a conference where they can perhaps, develop into a consisten contender. Honestly, I don't see it happening. I think UNC will make a run at the conference every two to three years. They have a decent class coming in, but really nothing coming back next year. Yes, Garnica is a good little PG, and Proctor isn't bad...Personally, I'm not much of a fan of Elliot, good kid, not the best ball handler. Connor Osborne and Emmanual Addo are the future of UNCO. Why shouldn't they be, UNCO built their program on the back of a all-conference center. Jabril? Banks is the reason why UNCO was able to develop into a Big Sky Champ.

But claiming to be the next Gonzaga...LOOOOOOL. Not to long ago NAU was the top team in the conference. Also, last I checked, Weber had won the previous two and three of the last four.

Huh? I wish I remember this, tal. Competitive nearly every year...yes. Top team year in and out...nope. I think you're engaging in revisionist history.

WSU and UM look to be the top teams next year based on who's returning alone.

MT Jack, I wasn't trying to be contentious. I'm sorry if it looked that way. I was just pointing out that other teams in the conference have put together a couple of good years in a row and then disappeared a bit. It has happened to everyone; Weber and Montana included. In 05-06 and 06-07 NAU was the top team, in 02-03 and 03-04 Eastern was a conference contender. Heavens in 00-01 Northridge got a conference championship. I'm just using these as examples, case studies, that mirrior the recent success of UNCO. The Bears have had a great year. They are the conference rep for the NCAA's, and I wish them luck, but their fans will be hit with a reality check come next season when their seniors are gone and they have to rebuild. Yes, they will win some games, but not at the level of this year.

This is the reason I wanted UNC to go down, and go down hard, they are delusional. One good season does not make you the next Gonzaga, look at teams like EWU and PSU. Those 2 teams used to be very good, but they have faded away. Im predicting UNC will do the same.

Ah, let 'em enjoy their success. I remember when Idaho State won the national championship in football in 1981, we all thought we were going to be Big Sky powers for years. We've had one playoff appearance since. But hey, we were all deliriously optimistic until the middle of the 1982 season.

No offense taken, tal. Losing all of their seniors will hurt UNC as it will hurt NAU next year. I expect a possible down year for Coach Adras. I think with the way this conference is set up (no tv deal, excess travel for road games, limited budgets, lacking fan support in some locations, rural communities making big-time recruiting a hard sell), parity will continue to reign. Teams will get hot for a few years then fade. The closest any Big Sky school has to consistent tradition is WSU.

Like every year, good or bad...I'll be champing at the bit for college hoops to start up in November.

Tal- Elliot Lloyd will switch to shooting guard and Garnica will start at pg next year. Proctor is better then okay.

Well d'uh...being a SG isn't miraculously going to make Lloyd better. He is decent, but he isn't anywhere close to being a Beitzel, Bonner, or Figures. Proctor?? Huh?? He is above average at best. He will have a good senior year, like Morris did for Weber this year, but he isn't on par with Montgomery, who, you have to admit, wasn't on par with Banks. I'm not saying UNCO won't have a chance to contend, they have some good looking players coming back, and I really like your incoming class, not to mention Osborne and Addo (can't forget Tate Unruh sp?) but compared to what Weber, Montana, and Eastern have coming back ...There is no disrepect to having to rebuild. I think UNCO will have an outside chance at contending next year, and I think within two seasons they will be a legitimate contender again, but losing 4 seniors especially one that scored 22 a game is hard to replace. PLEASE ENJOY THE MOMENT. Congrats to your teams ability to win the Sky, good luck in the NCAA tourny. I hope your guys get a 14...I doubt it happens, but I hope you do.

Frankly, this season was a rebuilding year for Weber. I'll admit it, Weber overachieved this year. Also, I hope UNCO can maintain credibility, I like having strong teams in the conference. It makes it more fun and the championship more meaningful.

Mt Jack...as for NAU...Yeah, Adras might have a down year, but I think he is getting back into his recruiting groove. He has, on paper, the best looking recruit in the conference headed to Flagstaff, if he can get a couple of good JCs this spring, then NAU can continue as a conference contender. I worry about ISU and MSU. I think Huse will get things together but will State give him the seasons he will need. He needs two maybe three, but then again, he is a big man away from contending, so what do I know. ISU...Yikes...The Bengals need a new coach. They had talent but no directon. They will have talent next year, but OB will likely waste it.

No, but you said he wasn't a good ball handler, being a shooting guard next year he won't have to as much. That was my point. As far as what we have coming back? We do have the young talent you mentioned plus our starting center who has been our ALL year. Plus, we have a guard out of Texas that redshirted that is supposedly - according to our coach as good a shooter as Devon is.

Yeah, that guard looks good. Won't know till he is on the court. J Richardson, our Fresh PG, averaged 28 a game in High School and recorded four 40+ games for a program he only played on for one year. He ended up with 3.2 a game this year. For a true Fresh, thats great. You never know how they will develop till the get on the floor. Oh Lloyd isn't a good shooter either...and yes a SG does handle the ball a lot.

Gelaun Wheelwright is supposedly as good as Lillard. Shair Fields is already being said to being the next Scott Bamforth. Its nice to imagine, but we wont know till they get on the court. All I know is that, on PAPER, UNCO isn't going to be considered one of the favorites. And I'm not so sure about BJ. You've got to admit...his championship team is BOYLES. We shall see in the future. FOr you, I hope UNCO continues to be competitive. I just want to mention that PSU had by far the most talented team in the Sky last year, but did they win it? That should give you hope.

ONCE AGAIN, Enjoy the moment.

Most of our guys were recruited by Hill. He's been around our program for since Boyle came to Greeley. He was part of our previous success as well.

I bet you like to hold a ruler next to your dick and tell your wife "Look Honey another milimeter." Go measure your stuff on your own board. Nobody cares about your opinions. He has one year under his belt and he did it with someone else's team. Regardless if he was with the program since the dawn of time, the head coach of the Bears, who created your recent success, is Tad Boyle. End of Story.

Like Talhad said, Enjoy the Moment.

What's up with the smack?

Next year UNC loses 65% of their scoring from this year, 56% of their rebounding, and 44% of their assists. Lloyd will be the only returning starter and he's averaged 7.4 points a game this year. Others returning include Addo (6.5 Pts/G), Proctor (5.5 Pts/G), Garnica (4.4 Pts/G), and Unruh (3.1 Pts/G). No other returners contributed much and don't warrant any mention. Osborne didn't play this year but played 7.5 mins a game and averaged 1.5 pts a game in 09-10.

And what's BJ Hill so pissed off about? Has that guy ever smiled? Even after they won the championship, he looked like he just sucked on a lemon. He can't even look half way pleasant while getting his pic taken.

Hill I understand is quite the arrogant prick.....

He sounded like Joe Dirt in his post game interview on Altitude after they beat NAU.
