Did UOP Duck Sac State?

Home games against Sonoma State and Hayward State, roadie at the Bungles?!?

Whoever came up with THAT schedule ought to be taken out and shot. Sac would have been a better choice from a Tiger perspective. From a Sac perspective, a win against a WCC school would be MUCH more likely than for ISU, though. Looks like UOP is trying to make the NCAAs on conference rep alone. SMH....

I doubt they're "afraid" of Sac St. As good we are this year, we are still a lower-tier D1 school. A prime example is the College Basketball Countdown ranking the creme' of the crop Weber St. lower than most WCC school, and other lower-tier D1 conferences. I think when it comes down to it, to have a steady rivalry with regional teams from difference conferences, both the coaches and AD have to be actively involved in the scheduling process, and the 3 schools in the region (UCDavis, UoP, and Sac St.) are doing a very poor job.
