Don’t Taze Me...

Kadeezy, your siggy strikes again this time in Missoula. UM had 2 key players arrested at a party the morning after their huge and monumental win over NAU. I’m not trying to poke fun at these two as it’s gotta suck going through something like this. But I will point out that it is good to know that Sperbeck would never tolerate any of these shenanigans. He booted an incoming freshman for missing team meetings and being late to class, he’d probably crucify someone if they allegedly assaulted a cop. It’ll be interesting to see how the UM administration handles this debacle. My guess is both players play the rest of the season...

Montana and Montana State has had quite a few thugs and felons on their teams lately. They seem to be very tolerant of bad behavior by football players. It will interesting to see what if any action they take in this case.
I am thankful that Coach Sperbeck holds our players to a higher standard of expectations no matter who they are as representatives of the Program and University.

Just to be fair it needs to be said that MSU has had very few problems during the Ash era, if this were to happen at MSU now they would be suspended or dismissed, nothing is going to happen at um, they are too busy trying to blame the police and are claiming racial profiling.

We shouldn’t be throwing stones either. Under the Moosh era we had a couple of asshats throw rocks at oncoming traffic while driving on the freeway. Needless to say that generated a lot of negative media attention and that kind of publicity is never good for a program. As I stated above, Sperbeck wouldn’t tolerate this kind of behavior, and I doubt the Sac State admin would tolerate it either. Student athletes are put on a pedestal and need to represent the University in all that they do. They all need to be more careful not to put themselves into bad situations but when they do, it is the responsibility of the coaches/admin to properly deal with these situations. :twocents:

from what i can tell from limited searching, both will play this week for Montana. a quick look at the Montana boards seem to be more concerned about the impact on their depleted secondary if they were held out, more than the negative impact on the school/program.

i know we get upset with losses on both sides of the causeway, but, at least we don't have to deal with this kind of negative publicity for our schools. i try not to call out players for their lack of success; but, i don't think i would hesitate to jump on a player for acting like a complete knucklehead and hurting the reputation of the school. playing for your school is a privilege, and the staffs on both sides of the causeway make that a priority. that's what helps to make a great rivalry.

well, that and two winning records!
