Dylan Zylstra in yesterday's game

I won't calm down. You were wrong and you're smearing a great kid. You were "told"??!! Did you watch? He didn't cheap shot Johnson. He pushed and Johnson flopped.

On the second flag, he was getting kicked by a 310 lb lineman while lying on the ground. That's him starting a fight?!

Nice job, Jones....
Hey Dozy;
I say this with all due respect but disagree. I just watched the incident a couple of times and it was a blatant push in the back and uncalled for. It did hurt the team.
Did not see the second incident as it was not covered well by Root on the TV broadcast.
I did see several cheap shots by Montana players like #53 holding onto Vernons ankle while rolling on the ground in an apparent attempt to injure.
It was obvious, as I watched the game again, these team DO NOT like each other. It was getting ugly and refs were trying to maintain control

Not going to delete the thread, but respectfully disagree with the OP. I don't think the first call was really intentional, and as someone else mentioned the second one was BS.

It might be b.s. but when you hand gesture it's against the other team multiple times, right in front of the ref, it's gonna get called every time in every stadium. Again, I understand the situation and emotions, but the refs are simply not gonna be upstaged in that scenario.

Now, since we're all good here , how about I hijack this thread with something more consequential...

Black helmets and the all whites????? YOWZA!!! Kalm likey!

How bout white helmets and all whites. Been saying it for years and those mockups look absolutely sick. Just like I imagined.

Also wouldn't mind seeing white helmets, red jerseys, and white pants.
:+1:

Would anybody that recorded the game be kind enough to upload it or make it available for file sharing? I would love to see it again.

OK, this has gotten out of hand. Apologies AND football talk in the same thread?! How will we ever achieve the greatness of EGriz without personal threats and vulgarity in posts that last pages? Anyway, my vote is for all white unis with a black logo outline on the helmet.

I appreciate that you are being sardonic, but I really love this thread. Things start to get slightly out of hand, and then instantly everyone settles their quarrels in an intelligent and respectful manner. Essentially the antithesis of the dumpster fire that is egriz. Proud of our fans and moreover our team. Go EAGS!

I'm sure the coaching staff will address this but as was stated in the other thread, JJ dove when he felt contact and made it look really good (smart on his part) and that 2nd call against Zylstra was pure BS. I said so at the time. Dylan was getting kicked while on the ground by the UM player that drew the call and he was rightfully pleased that it was called. So what? I didn't see the refs throwing a flag when the d-lineman was standing over VA and woofing or when Tripp was getting all up in people's faces. As the commentators said, it's a rivalry game, huge emotions and the refs should have taken that into account on that second call. :twocents:
The ref let it go two times and then through the flag when Dylan signaled a third time in the middle of the field. He was forced, to Dylan made those moves 15 feet in front of him. The ref. watched all three signals from Dylan and the third was to much.

That was what I saw

The Patchin show briefly talked about it today and said they've never seen Beau that angry on the sidelines before...angry at Dylan.
