Eags vs Griz - Semifinals

Well....here we go again. We always seem to meet these guys on the path to the Dance. Griz looked solid tonight vs Weber.

First time I watched Weber play this year. They couldn't stop the small backcourt of Montana from driving to the basket. Seemed like they gave up way too many points from penetration. They also made the average Montana forwards look good down low. Really poor defense from Weber.
 
Montana played well, but they truly tried to give that game to them up 15 with like 3 left....all those missed free throws was painful to watch.
WSU guards looked exceptionally slow and Montana took advantage of that.
Looking forward to the game tonight round 3 of our revenge tour!

I've never subscribed to the theory that it's tough to beat a team three times in one season....But maybe it's true. I'll say eags by 8 tonight.

DON'T LOOK PAST THEM! As was just witnessed ...upsets happen...no need for a ALL Montana final.

Remember the home loss we had last year and how they rubbed it in our face...ultimate payback is knocking them off tonight!

I don't think there's any doubt Eastern is the better team. But they've lost their mojo for 3 games running, and are playing far worse than a month ago. Montana is dangerous in this spot, because they're playing an Eastern team that has been tragic on the offensive end for a couple weeks. Eastern needs to find the top gear tonight.

Agreed, this Montana team looks like a high school team from Hamilton. This is what I have referred to in the past. Travis DeCuire doesn't develop players. He relies on malcontent transfers that leave his program. Shantay Legans develops players.

The transfers have been part of Montana’s football and basketball identity for years. Nothing to see here. Eastern is unique with both sports because they almost never bring in transfers... Hayford had a few, but he was an anomaly and a very un-Eastern guy.

I think this is why EWU recruits so well. Why would you go to Montana as a freshman when the probability of a transfer taking your playing time is likely.
