Eags Win @ Denver

74 - 58. Nice win for the Eags today taking down a solid Denver team that is 8 - 4 on the season. Denver has wins over Santa Clara, San Diego, Weber St. and a couple other Big Sky schools so this was a very solid 16 point road win for us. Could we be finding our rhythm? Hopefully this gives us some momentum going into league play.

I forgot about the game, it has been so long since they played. Looking at stats it was kind of a strange game. Only four starters scored all of the points. Bogdan only scored two, that leaves 3 starters with 72 points. Only 3 guys came in off the bench. 4 starters played 36, 37, 37, 38 minutes. When the Eagles win by 16 points why not get more experience on the bench?

That was the most unusual looking box score. I forgot and missed viewing/listening to the game so went straight to the box score and at first thought something was wrong, even the scoreline vs a strong Denver squad. Then read story on the game and was impressed...weird.

Larry Weir mentioned that Venky Jois has had bronchitis. He had seemed a little off the last few games, especially having to play against some solid front court teams. Hopefully he is getting better. He needs a free throw "whisperer". He is going to get fouled a bunch in conference play and needs to hit more free throws.
