Early Signing Date: This Wed, Dec 20th

Kind of weird, but I keep forgetting the new NCAA ruling that allows recruits to sign between Dec 20th and the 22nd. This is good for student-athletes who want to enroll early.

I have searched and searched social media and the web, but I can't find anything on recruits ready to sign with UNC this upcoming week. As anyone with a brain knows, winning is the best aid for great recruiting, and being we sucked bad this year, I'm not expecting an A plus recruiting class. These kids must know that Collins will be on a thin rope with a new president coming in and a horrible overall record. The stability of the coaching staff is not there, and it will not help recruiting.
 
I don't know man, it's hard to get excited about anything football related. Collins coming back just makes me think it's kind of pointless. After 7 years coaching, it's basically he's not going to get any better.
 
We might be the only program in the country that didn't sign anyone because I can't find another program out there that didn't have a press release announcing who they signed... this program is asleep at the wheel once again... I agree with above, hard to get excited it's so stagnate over there.

If I missed the press release my bad but I can't find it on their website...

My guess is the media person didn't even realize there was an early signing period this year... shows how much of a priority the football program is I guess.
 
Weber State and Northern Colorado were the only teams in the Big Sky not to sign anyone in the early signing period.Cal Poly signed 4,Eastern Washington 7,Idaho State 7,Montana 15,Montana State 16,North Dakota 19,Northern Arizona 4,Portland State 3,Sacramento State 8,Southern Utah 6 and UC Davis 11.
 
Wow, the Montana's and UND signed a ton of folks. Did they have a ton of graduating seniors to create that space?
 
Spent a little time yesterday looking into this because signing absolutely no one on the first ever early signing day couldn't be an oversight. Maybe it was a lack of space on the roster or some sort of academic blockade....I've found nothing so far. Very disappointing and frankly embarrassing.

Something needs to be done for this program, I played for UNC and when keeping up with my Alma Mater only one thing is a constant...disappointment.
 
Any reason why we had such a lackluster signing day coverage. A quick article that we signed 30 people and listed the states but nothing else. No bios or anything. Seems odd.

The athletic department seems to be asleep at the wheel lately... it's been rough, the lackluster rudderless football program with no real hope for any improvement in the future coupled with the basketball program on probation it's been hard to give a shit anymore...

You hit the nail on the head. I'm still a bit upset about the lack of info coming after the early signing date in December. While all other schools that I know of released names of early recruits, there was absolutely nothing coming from UNC. Absolutely stupid. If they couldn't release the names (for some reason) than say something! Just something!

As far as the Feb releases, I'm not sure what to think about it. No QB's. I'm not even sure who the "stud" or prized recruit is.
 
Who I your opinion will make impact in this signing class? What??? No QBs???!!! Knipp is always injured cannot count on him to ever surviving a season :tothehand:
