Feeling sick at the end of big games is kind of what we do at Weber State. An unfortunate theme in Randy Rahe's tenure. Thanks for the kind words, though. :|bincitysioux said:Wow.
Great game. Tough loss for Weber. They played a great game other than their FT shooting. I think they were 9-19 from the charity stripe. Great atmosphere at the DEE..............
Although I'm sure you all are feeling sick right now, congrats on a great season though.

ECU's basketball history has been very very bad. This is our first 20+ win season since 1954. We've been the NCAA tourney only twice in history and both years were due to us winning the Conference tourney (both with losing records). Our coach is a former University of North Carolina player, and has now turned our program around. over the last 20 years, we've been a perennial 8-12 win team. But since he started 3 years ago, we've won 18, 14, and 23 games.
Our school is starving for basketball success in a state filled with great basketball teams. We have had the #1 top play twice and the #3 top play on Sportscenter over the last week since the CIT started. We had about 2-300 people show up at our airport at 5am to greet this team as they returned home. Our program needed this win and this Championship.
I know this loss may hurt but a 30 win season is an amazing accomplishment.
I wish Weber State and all its fans the best of luck in the future. You have a lot of Purple brethren here in the Eastern part of North Carolina!! Maybe we will both see each other again in the NCAA tournament next year!
