I'm already ready to move past the NAU game. It's Montana week!

Both teams are fighting for their playoff lives which should make this matchup even more intriguing than usual. Montana has been an up and down team this year and were taken to overtime today by ISU.

I think this team is down, but not out and I would love to see the Eags end Montana's playoff hopes in Missoula. FTG

I guarantee no one on their sidelines will think this is an easy game. They know we've had their number lately and will be itching to beat us. Plus, they have everything to play for.

As for us, winning the Big Sky isn't entirely out of the question, although it is going to be very difficult now. 8-3 might get us a bye week on Thanksgiving, which is HUGE. 7-4 still probably gets us in, but it's a rough position. 6-5 would be a total disappointment as we'd be done by Thanksgiving.

We'll find out a lot about this team this week. I truly believe we are better than Montana, but our execution and sense of urgency has been questionable. It's time to come out on fire. If we wind up losing, I can live with that. I just don't want to lose like we did today by making mental mistakes and getting wore out.

While the loss sucked, I think it lights a fire under our guys. We have a chance to literally knock the Griz out of the playoffs in back to back years, that would be SWEET.

We need to get off the freaking field on D, learn how to run the ball, and get some better QB play. Will be interesting to see who starts at QB on Saturday, I am comfortable with both. Our D has been awful this year...

Looks like they think we'll be an easy win. I don't understand the confidence.

 Who thinks the EWU game will be an easy win? Just about every Grizzly fan knows it will be a dog fight, but we know we have a chance to win. EWU certainly has its weaknesses just like UM does.

How do you guys think this is going to go? Have you heard if they are letting the men arrested for entering someones home in the middle of the night play this weekend? I expect that they will.

It seems like every week should have been a wake up call for the EAGs and we say, "We'll get on track this week." I am starting to wonder. That being said, u of m is not very good. I expect a close one. 37-28 with a turnover by the u of m at the end of the game that results in an Eastern TD.

UM has not played a good passing team since early against NAU. And even then, NAU was not as strong as they are now. Yes, the EAGS offense has been inconsistent the last couple games but is still a very good passing team. I don't think the griz secondary matches up well against the EAGS. The griz corners are decent but the safeties are vulnerable. The front seven for the griz is good but the EAGS OL will handle the pass rush and the EAGS receivers will run wild through the griz secondary. EAGS by three touchdowns.

I love the optimism but yikes!

Someone mentioned in another thread how are run blocking isn't doing our passing game any favors and I agree. Gotta keep Holmes and Co. guessing.

Okay, you convinced me, EAGs roll montana by a ton. Montana fans don't come back from the parking lot after halftime.

As we leave WA Griz stadium we will have to step over hordes of passed out, heart broken griz fans that never returned from their tailgating at halftime. :D

Anyone willing to give me the GRIZ +21, for say, $5000?

Didn't think so.

It'll be close. Neither team is very good, frankly.

Eags have a chance to make history and be the first team to win 5 in a row in this series. We win and make an entire generation of Griz player have to wonder what it would feel like to beat EWU.

Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside:)

Make that +2. The crazy thing is that this is a year that the Big Sky is just craving a good team to run the table. Everyone looks vulnerable. I don't think Southern Utah is all that special, but they're the best of a bunch of teams having rebuilding years (sans PSU).

It's definitely a down year for the conference as a whole. UM and EWU are not great, and MSU is pretty awful. I don't think anyone would have imagined at the beginning of the year that PSU and SUU would be locks to make the playoffs and EWU, UM, and MSU would be either on the bubble or out completely.

I'd take this staff in this situation over any staff in the Big Sky. We have the advantage.
