The Eags showed tremendous heart to come back and win that game.

This...but damn. And their receiver, Keelen Doss! Holy crap, that guy can play! Some of those catches were amazing!

Good clock management by Best and poor clock management by Hawkins. Glad to get out of there with the W. Go Eags.

In a game where not much seemed to go right for the Eags they found a way to gut out a win. On to the next one!

This. Davis came to play today and made some incredible plays in that game. Good to know that even when we're not necessarily on our "A" game we can still find a way to win.

I had a horrible feeling about this game and when they went up by two scores late in the third quarter I thought they had the game won. I should have known better. Great win and the team definitely showed some grit tonight.

Good win Eags! Davis had a huge edge in ToP, gained more yards, and won the TO battle, and EWU still pulled out a win on the road. That is some good stuff.

Props to UC Davis. That is a fine team that still has some time to make some waves in the Big Sky this year. I would not want to play them twice this season.

Holding them to FG's on both of our TO's has been pretty huge. Otherwise, they could be up by a lot more. This team has the talent to come back and win this game. We just need to make a couple of plays here or there.

Great win. That Limu-Jones is going to be one hell of a player. Still pretty raw and he makes some mistakes but he's starting to become a playmaker already as a Freshman.

Super happy to come out of this trip with a win. Almost got beat due to sloppy play at times and two UC Davis players Maier and Doss. Doss was their only athlete and we refused to take him away with some sort of double coverage. Definitely a little thin at DB and suspect Webster is playing hurt. It somehow feels like myopic, mind numbing stubbornness. Defense was on the field 37 minutes..

Don't want to leave out the left coast refereeing mantra of making things "fair" by actually making shit up to hamstring the better team. Didn't throw a lot of flags - good in general; didn't throw flags on UC Davis on all the obvious crap -- Bad. Did they call any holding on UC Davis last night? Pass interference (once?)? Blocks in the back? Awful.

Effort showed all over the field, team looks hungry. OL played well except blitz pick up but sort of understandable and thought defense showed up big. Can someone tell me why Simba isn't going deep more often, he can outrun most FCS defensive players? GG arm strength? Loved watching him pull away on that big score and Limu-Jones started to look like Kaufman to me, just from the TE position. Needed a big receiver when Grady went down. Never felt like Eastern would lose this game due to their obvious adrenaline junky style. We were 3 TO's (3 right?) better than UC Davis..

Many challenges to go before this season is said and done... Next.

Good teams beat decent teams when they don't play so good..they were decent and we are good.

Best description of this one, "gutty." A road win against a much improved team when it seemed like most everything was going the way of the home team. It seemed like Davis had the momentum throughout most of the game and they made a lot of big plays. They also got most of the bounces, but the team dug down for the W! I'm pleased with the growth each week of this team.
