Not getting on the offense but anyone knows last time we only scored 7 pts in the first half of a game? Didn't we struggle in a game the first half this season? just curious

Ok, here's another. When was the last time we were held to 14 points at home?

Or 189 total yards. WTF? This is Eastern, time to consider opening the QB competition back up some IMO.

A win is a win.

A win is a win, but how many of these do we have left in the tank?

 I used to say that to the boys after the games in the 2010 season and tell them they were going to give me angina. They just keep winning that way right through the Chipper and my son said at no time during the season was there ever doubt. You just take 'em as they come and don't question how come or how long it'll last!

we had no business winning that game, but glad it happened. I'm suddenly very concerned with next weeks game against NAU, but with better play than we've had the past couple of weeks we can beat them. The Montana game will be 50/50 because their defense is great, and the PSU game is probably a loss.

best case we finish 8-3, hopefully with a share of the conference title but we are going to need SUU to lose a game. worst case is 6-5 but I think most likely 7-4. hope thats good enough to get into the playoffs.

NAU is crushing N Col right now 42-7 at half!

Ha! Ranger was just gonna ask that.

Something just doesn't seem right as we needed their fg kicker to miss three fg's to help us win. Also, Weber who is 12th in the BSC in total offense while we are one of the best in the nation, out-gained us 412 yards to 189 yards. I don't know what it is that doesn't seem right but I'm not blaming the weather when Weber doubles our offensive output. Thanks "D" for playing hard in tough territory today!

Weather made this game very strange. I'm glad we came out with the win, but I'm a little worried about how we will play in the snow. Props to the defense for keeping Weber out of the end zone. Great red zone showing. If we can pull that off more often, I'll be very happy with the D.

Props to whoever paid off the Weber kicker.

The weather was a factor today, like it or not; it benefited their ground game... it's very hard to pass accurately with 20mph wind and 25-30+ gusts, and rain. Add to that Weber's physical style of defense.

Not saying we played flawless or even well, but we got the win. Next week is a completely new game with a new set of circumstances. I said it last week, as long as we're not behind when the clock reaches :00, we will have a chance to win. This team has the 2010 grit.

Go Eags!

I don't think I have seen this poor of a performance in a long long time. If they can't play in bad weather than they need to pack it in. The coaches need to step it up, I think the success they have had has gone to their heads because right now they are not that good. At this point N. Arizona and PSU should win easily with Montana a push. It made no sense not to put in Hennessey, Jordan wasn't getting it done. In all of the years I have followed EWU, this may have been one of the worst offensive performances I have ever seen and I'm not blaming the players as much as I am the coaches in this one. At least the punter came to play

No denying, it took luck on our side to win today. But what good team doesn't use luck to win a couple games?

With that said, I'm disappointed with the play of JW today. I understand that the weather conditions were bad, but on top of below average play, his lack of leadership at times was glaring. Cooper was directing the receivers on multiple plays, West was even yelling at guys on the sidelines at times.

I'm not trying to be a downer, but I'm worried that we're winning games despite JW, rather than with him. :twocents:

I get all that, but we got dominated today and badly! You have to be able to play bad weather later on in the year and especially if we are able to make the playoffs. The offensive line was supposed to be our strength this year but the running game hasn't been anything special and today they were not able to open holes.

No sugar coating this game, it was bad! I still have faith that we can pull together though.

We've won the games we're supposed on the road, and taken care of business at home despite it being ugly in a few of those games. We may not have the most talented bunch this year compared to the past several years, but they have heart and resiliency, and that counts for a lot.

We didn't play well today and maybe haven't played all that great all season long, but we're still 5-0 in the Big Sky, and 6-2 overall. If we can achieve that kind of record not playing up to potential, then there's no reason we can't win out and take another Big Sky crown.

Another good trend for the upcoming home games: Baldwin is undefeated at home in the month of November since 2008.

I don't even know why I'm posting right now, because there isn't much to be said about this game. Frankly, I hope it fades from my memory as soon as possible.

That was the worst performance I've seen from a winning team. Sorta reminded me of being on the other side of the coin when we dominated UW in 2011 and found a way to lose. They beat us in every way and managed to lose.

I still can't believe our defense basically only made one stop all game long and yet they only managed to score 13 points. It felt like they had the ball all game long and converted first downs any time they wanted. Yet, we win. How bizarre.

We were warned last week, and it didn't seem to improve our effort. The schedule gets a whole lot tougher from here out. Had we lost today, I'd have bet against us making the playoffs. Taking two of our next three still looks mighty challenging unless we improve a bunch.

Oh great thanks for reminding us...

"He hasn't missed a free throw in his last 47 attempts..."

"He hasn't missed a putt of this length all week..."

Ok, I will throw that stat out, and refer to the overall W/L record at home since 2010. Even when we are not playing well, we are VERY hard to beat at home.
