Eastern Washington

Another tough game this Saturday against EW. They beat Montana and are a very good team. They might not have Taiwan Jones as he he is injured but they won't need him against us. This is a very good team.

My prediction - EW 28, UNC 0

In the last three seasons the Bears have lost to Eastern Washington by 16, 15 and 10 points..

This years Bears are 100% better than last year.. And they (East. Wash) don't have Jones this week.
This group of seniors are ready to win.

The Bears defense is gonna come out and defend their home turf and kick some butt.
The Bears offense is gonna find a way to get it done and outscore Eastern Washington.

Keys to the game:
O-line has to play well..
TE's and RB's have to pick up blitzers.
Team cannot be a charity. Cannot give the ball away or give them free points.
Play inspired!!

Score: UNC 20
E. Washington 17

I think you get my theme...

Score:
EWU [A Whole Bunch]
UNC [Not Very Many]

unc -20

I was getting ready to post that you are crazy if you think we can score 20 points, then I saw the negative in front of it. That's a much more realistic score--I agree with your prediction!

I believe Dre had a head injury in Sac State game and will be ready to go. But we need more than that. We need this coaching staff to fire people up and quit calling running plays up the freakin middle on first down that go absolutely no where!!! Geez I thought we were predictable last year!!

bold predictions vs ewu saturday
less than 3,500 in attendence, less than that by half time as all the students and faithful rush the exit gate.
our beloved 'd' gives up 24 pts and spends 40 minutes on the field
the downing special teams good for 14 pts (not for unc)
orms for a pick 6, add 7 more
labato starts the 2nd half and gives up 14 pts (1 fumble, 1 pick 6)
scott mumbles well, we shoulda, if i coulda, if we hada., need a new line scott.
scott keeps job for 1 more week

i hope i'm wrong, but, i just don't see how we are going to compete saturday, ewu is good, very good. and we are bad, very bad,,,,,,,,,,,

family and friends? yeah, we need some of both!

anyone seen this yet? kinda interesting. michael eubank, qb of the future here?

If he doesn't mind playing behind o-linemen that will all be hurt after week 3 he should come on out to Greeley.

You're a strange one. You're probably not happy with Orms starting and sorry your son, Baca has an injury. Also, you completely contradicted yourself on a pervious post about Peterson. You said, CSU you can have back and then you said Peterson and Biddel were good hires. Which is it? I'm assuming you like Peterson when your kid Baca is starting and hate him when he's not.

Beardown,
Mr. Lippy is not Matt Baca's dad, I am, and I would never use the message board as a way to criticize the coaches or players. Matt and Dylan are very good friends and they are pushing each other to be the best quarterbacks they can be.

Since I am from Californian, I sometimes visit the message board as a way to get infomation as to how the team is doing. I will be attending tomorrow's game and you are welcome to discuss any issues you may have with my son. As far Matt's injury, that has been all I have been thinking about all week and we just want him to get better. There are some things that are much more important than football.

Since I hate message boards, this will be my first and only post.

Thanks and have a great day and GO BEARS!!!!!!

It wasn't a knock on your son. I hope Matt gets healthy soon.

As for the game, I just hope we can stop their stud running back. Looks like he has skaken that injury and will play today. We've beaten ranked teams before, we can do it again today. BEARDOWN!!!

Either that EWU return guy is deceptively fast, or our coverage is really really slow. :?

Mixed emotions after this one. We had another win slip away. Who's going to teach these players how to win close games? I thought they were going to get blown out today but they hung in there against the conferences best team. It gives me SOME hope we might win another game. Maybe South Dakota or Portland State?

Just another moral victory. They fought hard and I fear as long as Downing is here, this is as good as it gets.

They turned me loose from the nervous hospital. 'Said I was well. I got hired on by a Mr. Jay Hinrichs coachin and whatnot. That grass out there in the field has grown up quite a bit. I reckon I might cut it for you.

How did you not know that was going to happen? I don't know what's worse, getting blown out by 40+ or losing a game in last the few minutes. I think I'd rather get blown out by 40 at this point.

I thought defensive calling at the end of the game was bad, you know they're gonna pound the ball up the middle to run some clock and get in better field goal range. But you put on a blitz that vacates the middle of the field, and Jones runs in without getting touched. At least make the attempt the field goal.
