Next up, EWU. Weather looks great for the game Saturday. EWU lots fairly close games to Incarnate Word and Northern Iowa, got hammered by Montana State, unimpressively beat Portland in Cheney, but beat a slumping Idaho last week. Weber coming off their best game of the year against maybe the worst team in FCS (Butler is actually looking decent now so that might be WSU's best game of the year). In Big Sky games, WSU and EWU have the two worst offenses, WSU's defense is 7th while EWU is 10th. EWU has played the best team (MSU) and the two worst. WSU has played 2nd, 4th and last place teams. What does it all mean? Anything could happen Saturday. Jennings is looking better. Boogie looks pretty good starting for Godley, but Godley is expected back this week. Eastern has a dual threat QB, whick WSU has struggled with this year.

Free tickets from AFCU this Saturday, go Weber!

I would say this is the next best chance at a win. Should be a wonderful Fall day for football…but got kids soccer games and other plans..will have to follow on my phone and watch later.

What’s with the beehive helmet? The state of Utah can go pound sand! They constantly gut public education and other resources. Put the Ogden City Flag logo of the mountains if you want some extra helmet. I’d probably do a walking Waldo…but no wonder they are losing with beehive helmet.

Giving EWU the win on a too many men on the field. Vintage Mental! Also 3rd and five on opponents 20 and he runs a WR sweep. Are you trying to lose? I agree with Crazy J. Get the FBI looking at Mental’s bank accounts.

I’m convinced that either Mickey is allowing Crompton to bang his wife or both Mental and Crompton are carrying on an affair because that’s the only reason I could see Mickey even being the coach here still!!! This guy looks like an absolute bum on the sideline and his coaching is even more pathetic than that!!!

According to a former QB and teammate who was just in Ogden, we MAY be seeing a new coach, this season. Word is it will be either Eric Price (former Weber player and son of Mike Price) or Jaime Martin. Who knows?
How about Kjar from Corner Canyon??? I’m tired of retreads or never was coaches!!! Jamie Martin and Price have never been a HC and I don’t think they do anything to improve morale or excitement to the program. We need new blood who can recruit or at least make players excited.

Those are legitimate points. But Eric had an excellent mentor via his dad and for sure he did a lot of college recruiting. Jaime might be able to attract a quality QB on reputation alone.

Are you kidding?!? Eric Price has coached in every offensive coaching position and was the OC at Alabama, Tulane, UTEP and Memphis, as well as coaching at NY Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars and Kansas City Chiefs. He coaches at an elite QB academy, lord knows WSU has a hard time landing highly recruited QBs. He is a former Wildcat and has great family connections to WSU and the community. I would like to see if Jamie Martin could help our offense as well, maybe as the OC. A) could they be any worse, and B) with their NFL experience they can at least bring more respect and recruiting, more than a high school coach could bring. Nothing against Kjar, I would love to bring him to WSU, especially if he can help bring top Utah talent, but not as the head coach.

No way Weber wins the next two weeks. Best case scenario is 5-7. But, that means beating ISU in Poky and NAU at home. NAU will possibly be playing for a playoff spot. I don’t see another W. Coach Crompton hopefully has a plan.

Personally I’d like to see one of the following:
Colton Swan (most likely the next DC at the U)
Justin Ena
Fesi Sitake
Chad Kawahawa (Sp?)
Ed Lamb
Kevin McGiven
Eric Price

We need a professional coach, who wants to interact with the community, build a fan base and who will hold players accountable. Someone who can get good assistants and recruit/develop local players. A good recruiter in general.

I think Crompton’s plan is to work until retirement and let assistants he hired ride out their contracts before he rotates another assistant in. I don’t see Mental being fired. I don’t think Crompton has it in him to fire someone. I would like to see Jaime Martin finish out the season as interim coach and then do a no kidding legitimate coach search, but we get to see this sh*t show for another full year after this one.
