Eastern

Honestly, I'm a bit worried about this one. Weber has gotten healthy playing at home. I hope their confidence continues with them to Cheney. Eastern has been improving all year. I think if they start the season off without a handful of injuries, the Eagles would be in the thick of it. I really hope the Cats aren't over looking the Eagles.

Regardless of how the Eagles are improving and that the game is in Cheney, I still think the Cats pull this one out. It may be close, but nonetheless, I really think Weber gets the W and comes back ready to exact some revenge on the Vikings next Wednesday.

We have gotten past the higher ranked teams in the conference, but can not get lulled into thinking EWU, SSU or ISU is just going to lay down and give us a win. Each of these teams has played hard and been close to the upper half. Playing them at home adds to the challenge.

If the Cats come out with the energy an defensive effort we say over the past four home games, we have a good shot at running through the remaining conference play. KenPom has San Jose state beating us, don't know why, but I think that game is winnable as well. I do like to dream, but 12-4 in conference doesn't sound bad to me if we can pull it off

The thing Im worried about is will the Big Sky refs let us play the defense we have been playing during this home stand ON THE ROAD, normaly they wouldnt and thats what Im worried about.

But our boys are playing with confidence, Rahe wont let them go into EWU overconfident, and as long as we hit our shots, play our inside out game and continue to share the ball Weber can come out of Cheney with a win.

Looking back on my predictions these last 3 games I can deduece one thing, and that is that I dont know crap, I predicted a 3 point win over Montana, we won by 16, I predicted a 8 point win over MSU, we won by 20 and then I predicted a 5 point win over NAU we won by 27.

So Im going to say we beat EWU by 6 on the road, which means we will probably win by about 13 or 15 points

The strange thing is, we have 5 conf games left and this is the first time we will have played EWU all year

we have played UNC, UM, MSU, and NAU twice, PSU, ISU and Sac once, but have not yet played EWU. Strange.

Crystal ball: Almost like the early games were meant to make sure the Wildcats didn't win the conference again?
Is it a conspiracy by the BSC?
-Starting out 5 of 7 games on the road against the projected top teams?
-Playing the first 8 of 11 games against the top teams?
- Wait, what was that?
- Did you hear that noise?
- Am I going paranoid or what?
:shake: :shake: :shake: :yikes: :yikes:

I did find it strange that NO ONE else in the conf had to start 5 of first 7 on the road against the 5 other teams that made the Big Sky tournament last year, (MSU,UM,NAU,PSU,UNC).

Never should have lost at MSU or PSU though, those games were ours and we let them slide away. :ohno: We would be 9-2 in conf if we could have won those games. :ohno:

I've noticed that Darin Mahoney gets his first foul within the first 5 minutes of every game thus far in the season. Plus... Talhadthreesteals! If you don't believe me... go look at the stats for the 2003 championship game when Weber played Chris Hestor, Brendon Merrit, and "The Mullet" of Easern Washington, plus thee unforgetfulness of Danny "Clay Aiken" Pariseau. Weber went 14 - 0 that season and was a 14 seed in the NCAA Tourney and played #5 Wisconsin.

Funny how turd, bengalhater, and purplefogdog all say the same things to Talhad. Same person?? Who cares how many steals Tal had. He stole the Crystal Crest award (2003) at the end of the year from more deserving athletes too. Shouldn't that count for an additional steal? Heavens to me it does! Joel Atwater, Jeremy Toleman, Stephan Bachman, and Tal Eyre?? Okay, institute freaks. Way to give it to the third string center over the first string center and two of the greatest track athletes in, not only Weber, but also, Utah history.

Also, isn't this a thread about the upcoming Eastern game? I'm thinking Weber will win, but it's going to be close, thanks in part to the men in stripes.

I like how you think Heyoh!! The Refs this year have been pretty tough on the Cats.

Turd you do realize that Brad is the person who keeps track of the stats at Home games, right? So you are saying that you trust him? LOOOL!!

Weber will win, I don't think it'll be by the same score as last year, but it could be close!! Didn't Weber win by 30+ up there last year? Just making sure I have my facts straight. I don't wanna pull a Douglas!! LOL

I don't think there is much to be worried about. This is the only game that I see us possibly losing for the rest of the year. If you are still holding onto hope that we'll win the regular season championship, I can see why. Otherwise, we look to be a lock for the 3 seed and a first round home game.

I dont know, Idaho State will still be very tough to beat in Pocatatoe, add in the fact that its a rivalry.
