Once again Lunardi shows his total disregard for the Big Sky... (16 seed) HUH??? I do agree with his assesment that Weber will win..So, at least he got that right.

Well we can give him a break for now as his brackets are assuming the season ended today. Because 12-8 overall is not very impressive...time will tell.

Well... I guess our record could be better if instead of BYU, Long Beach State, Southern Miss, USU, and Arizona (not to mention Miami Oh and Santa Barbara) Weber played Rice, Cal Poly, Seattle (twice), and Hampton... Gee things would be a little different... Baylor and Gonzaga are the only good teams that PSU played in the pre-season. Gonzaga is nothing like the have been (most overated team in America after St. Mary's). The WCC is a crap conference that is scared to play the Big Sky...

The WCC thinking they aren't the big sky is another thread for another day...

As of Feb 2:

Minneapolis
(7) Missouri (17-4)
(10) Florida St (16-5)
(2) Marquette (19-2)
(15) WEBER ST (13-8) / Big Sky

Feb 6th updated

(Keep in mind the bracketology is assuming the season ended today)

Minneapolis
(7) California (18-6)
(10) Virginia Tech (14-7)

(2) Marquette (20-3)
(15) WEBER ST (14-8) / Big Sky

Lunardi will never give the Big Sky or Weber State any love... It doesn't matter if the season ended today or ends in four weeks. He has a severe East Coast bias. Granted, I do agree with him that Weber is the class of the SKY.

Were you expecting us to be a 1 seed?

We haven't been higher than a 12 seed since the 1980's.

If the team was to win out I think we could get a 13 seed.

What does Talhad think since he does not approve of Lunardi?
(his bracket is just for fun)

Updated Feb 9

Minneapolis
(7) California (18-6)
(10) Boston College (18-7)

(2) MICHIGAN ST (19-4)
(15) WEBER ST (14-8) / Big Sky

That would be a very interesting matchup...for those that remember

WSU is 2-0 all-time vs Michigan State

WSU vs the Big Ten:

3-11 overall
Michigan State 2-0
Purdue 0-4
Illinois 0-1
Wisconsin 1-1

Us and Michigan St. That would be a great match-up conidering they want their revenge from back in 1994. For those that remember, that year we beat then as a 14 seed. Lewis Loften had the honor of guarding future NBA draft pick Shawn Respert, who he handled quite well. IF this is a reality, watch out Spartans, The Cats come and play.

This would be amazing!

(6) GONZAGA (18-5)
(11) Miami (FL) (14-9)

(3) Kansas (20-5)
(14) WEBER ST (16-8) / Big Sky
