I'm mixed on this one. On the one hand, I'd like NAU to beat SDSU because I think the MVFC is over-rated. It'd also be really cool to play NAU since we didn't play them this season.

On the other hand, I'd like to see SDSU come to Cheney and get a beat-down of epic proportions. :nod:

SDSU has an outstanding running back which we have trouble with.

Correct, we didn't play them last year. We played them in 2011 in Flagstaff, and won 36-28.

I hear ya. Since this will be a tough first round game, I'm going to try and make it up for this one. On the one hand I'd like EWU to beat NAU to have the absolute undisputed outright Big Sky Champs, but mostly I want to see a team we don't normally play... just doesn't quite feel like the playoffs when you're playing a conference mate.

I would take exception to your comment about "not taking the cold". Ever been to South Dakota in the winter?
I grew up there and there are not many colder and windier places than there. They do not play indoors, trust me, they know cold.

How can the committee give the griz a seed and snub NAU? Must be the historical griz accomplishments affecting the selection. The griz fan base should be feeling quite sheepish right now. Christmas came early for the griz this year. Regardless, it will be a short playoff run for the griz.

1. EWU will be in the semi-finals
2. EIU will lose before semis and EWU will host the semi-finals
3. They will play Saturday the 21st rather than Friday the 20th

This will keep my streak of attending at least one game alive.

This is more about influence than money. If it was just money, having Montana host a first round game would make more money. Someone was able to convince the NCAA to give up money to give Montana a bye.
