Next court date Dec 10th means that #6 is done on the football field for WSU. It will be intresting to see what all comes of this.

Eteuati pleads, WSU status remains hazy

Maybe he has a shot at playing still...

Here’s the important part from the article:

Late Thursday, Weber State University issued the following statement: "We are working to independently corroborate exactly what transpired in court today. If it is determined that Bryant Eteuati is no longer facing felony charges or convictions we will assemble a committee to review what has occurred in the courts and to hear from the football player himself. After gathering all the information available, and reviewing it, we will determine the appropriate penalty for his situation."

The charges to which he pled guilty are misdemeanors, which leads me to believe that after this review the suspension will be lifted. The question is whether this review can happen soon enough for him to play this season.

The article, if true in its details, was enlightening and provided hope that maybe Bryant is on the right track. The key for me was the participation in the plea bargain of the other family involved in the altercation. If he has met the requirements of the court, the other party's family was involved in the proceedings, and he has performed restitution, then the WSU review commission is perfectly within their proper rights to allow Eteuati back on the team, and we should be pleased for Bryant and proud of Weber State University for its part in his redemption process.

Eteuati is in trouble again, if he was on the right track he fell off it big time... felony rape.
