Great game atmosphere in Cheney tonight. 2 of 3 refs were just terrible. I've loved watching big Joel play for the last few years. He's a class kid. Good luck in the tourney. If EWU can't win it, I'm pulling for you guys. Go Eags!!
 
The regular season championship is not meaningless. The finish to this league has been very good and suspenseful. Now, ISU and UI will play tonight to see who is the 3rd seed and who is the 4th seed. It may not seem like much, but the winner wouldn't have to face us unless it is in the championship game. The loser will, potentially see us on Friday evening. That will be an interesting game, with so much on the line. Not to mention, the instate rivalry.

For those who thought that the regular season had been made meaningless, How wrong you were. For those who thought that the seeding drama would be nonexistent, how wrong you were. For those who think that all 12 teams is a bad thing, tell that to Sac. or MSU, or UNC. Reno looks exciting to me. :thumb: :thumb:
 
By winning the big sky regular title,Weber gets to hang another banner in the Dee and that's big,plus they get at least an NIT bid.Weber is going in the tourny at full strength and I am excited about it.

Tomcat, your "way off as usual" comment supports the idea that you may be seeing only what you want to see. No one is "usually" wrong! For example, I agree with you that the team was attacking at the end. If what you state about me being "way off as usual" is accurate it implies that both of us are probably wrong in that viewpoint.

Senglin always attacks and quite often those attacks to the basket end up in points. Tonight EWU was playing him to stop his three point shooting and giving him the drive to the basket and then trying to stop him at the basket with others sliding over to cover him there. For EWU that worked pretty good as Senglin went in out-of-control many times throwing up wild shots that missed. However he was fouled a few times and he made his FT's for a change.

I am a fan of Senglin's offense, especially his three point shooting. I am also a fan of his drives! If he would learn to dish when he drives and the defense has him covered he would be truly awesome.

I am not a fan of his defense. Not because he can't play it, but because too much of the time he doesn't make a full effort to defend, letting his man go free for shots that are too easy requiring that someone else try to cover for him. Dude, McBroom went off for 31 on him yesterday. I am also not a fan of his free throw shooting. No player who can shoot the three as well as he does should be shooting in the low 60's percentage on FT's. It suggest that he isn't concentrating since it has gone on for the whole season.

This is me just being real. I am a fan of Weber State probably for longer than you have been alive. I will die a fan of Weber State. I am also a fan of Senglin. Does being a fan mean that one has to be blind to reality? I just want Rahe to get better as a coach, Senglin to get better as an off-guard and Weber to get better as a program. If that desire makes me usually wrong then so be it.
 
Baller all you ever do is bitch about the coach or players,I am trying to understand why.Did we just not win the Big Sky title.To be celebrating that fact and to go on the board and read that crap of a post is a downer Debbie!!!. That is all your posts ever are as usual.I used to listen to the games on the radio 47 years ago also which must make you freakish old.
 
Who cares!! Weber is Big Sky Champs!! Now we get to start the season over on Monday in reNO!! Now time to play the shorten conference season, soeveryone gets another chance at winning the right to go dancing! Nothing matters from the last four months. Who cares that Weber has 23 overall wins and 15 in the conference. None of that matters. We get to start over in reNO!

By the way...with 9 TOs I really hope Rahe has realized that Senglin is not a PG. We did everything we could to hand the game to Eastern. Refused to play zone (why ISU beat them so badly), or a true PG, committed 19 TOs, and let Jeremy do whatever he wants...but we still won!! We are the Champs!!
 
There are really only a handful of teams with a legitimate shot at a National Championship and the UU Mutes are not one of them. Conferences are not crowned champs, teams are. Outside of that handful, everyone else is playing for a conference championship. There are not many of us who do it consistently. That is why our program at WSU is considered so highly throughout the country. That is why we get players like Bolomboy, Lillard, Senglin, and so many more. :thumb:
