EWU Game Thread

Awesome game, it kept me on the edge of my seat!

Side note, just watched channel 3 news at 11 and they didnt mention todays game, but they did make a big deal out of the cal game. :x

I just saw the same thing, covered the Kings, JCs, NASCAR, Pac 10, Texas-Texas Tech but not a mention of Sac State. We all need to contact Channel 3 Sports Director Del Rogers ,tell him to light a fire under that Danny Pomells guy. Thats what you get when you hire somebody from Phladelphia to cover local sports.

For those that saw the game:

Were Gamboa's kicks REALLY cr@ppy, or were there protection issues? Did the lateral positioning of the ball affect his kicks in any way? How about weather?

I'm not prepared to TOTALLY blast a kicker when there are other issues present, though. IF, however, none of these factors are present and he's cr@ppy, then we could do what Texas Tech did and bring someone out of the stands.

It was rainy, the snaps were good, the holds were good, I cant think of anything else. :?

He just had a very bad game.

It didn't sound like a lite rain started until late in the game. I think it was just a bad day for Juan.
We left a lot of points on the field Saturday, we can't do that again.

When I was in Sierra Hall, we had an idiot who expounded Alball to the nth degree: eliminate all tight ends, running backs, and both kickers. Then line up EVERY FREAKING DOWN in a spread shotgun and run all streak.

While I'm not espousing THAT suicidal offense, I wouldn't mind laying off Gamboa for a while and going for it on a few fourth downs in the middle of the field or quick-kicking to throw the opponent off. Smell-way made great use of the quick-kick, and while John Fassel was a QB at Weber State, he screwed us two years in a row with it. Why not us?

who is Sac's holder? if it isn't a qb, i am sure it's someone with capable hands that could manage a throw. i was screeeeammming at my computer screen last week to not kick it, even on PATs.

i hope he worked out his kinks in practice this week...
