EWU needs originality

Which came first, Wazzu using their WSU letters to fashion a cougar



or Eastern Washington using their EWU letters to fashion an eagle?



If my assumption is correct that it was WSU, then EWU is infringing (piggybacking) on their original style, which, I sense, is a tort. Might be the basis for an intellectual property lawsuit.

EWU really needs to develop an original style of their own.

WSU switched to their newer logo somewhere in the mid to late 90s, and according to this site that has historical helmets of the Big Sky (because why shouldn't the Internet have a site breaking down the historical helmets of the Big Sky Conference, right?), EWU's eagle showed up in 2000.

I'll give EWU some slack, at least they go by the "Eagles" now rather than the "Savages" like they did for over 90 years...
