How would that be any different if we were to wear all green uniforms on a green field?
Grass is green, it's a natural playing surface for football. The NCAA hasnt banned the use of green uniforms and a brown ball against a green surface is easy to distinguish. Even though the field is now artificial, it mimics real grass in both color and texture.
Red grass isnt real, it's artificial. It's hard to see a brown ball against red turf, or anythyng brown for that matter.
Boise's blue field cannot be used as an example as brown and blue cannot be mistaken, they are very different and the brown ball doesnt get lost against a blue field.
According to Screamin, the point is to be somewhat camouflaged while on the field therefore creating an unfair advantage for the home team.
